I am so sorry you guys are going through this. My first thought was call the police because that is straight up vandalism; fire inspection company or not. As I pause to wipe my tears, I hope you find a way to get whole from that huge set back and sometimes it’s not just about the money but it was an opportunity for you both be together even if it was just for a few hours it was precious time together that no price can pay you back for that time together. @ he’s entertaining, but 70 IQ regarding many things, though smarter at others. Years ago I gifted him a nice monitor to help edit videos as he was only using a laptop screen. He didn’t understand how it would help his productivity and I think he tossed it. Probably still hunting and pecking at keys and squinting at a 14” screen. The camera is good evidence if something happens, like what occurred with these fire installation monkeys.

Break the rental agreement immediately and let the kitchen rental company try to sue you. They won’t. Very few good businesses left in this f-ed up country as you guys have unfortunately experienced. Lesson learned. Chin up and move forward!!! The Pralines are phenomenal btw.

They will sue him easy and win. He signed a lease. I had a failing business and had to stick it out for 5 years of my lease contract because it was personally guaranteed and I would have to file for banktruptcy to get out of it.

Owner won’t waste time in a short term shared space lease like this facility. You had a Triple Net type retail space agreement probably, totally different situation.

You seem like a good guy and I watched a couple of your videos. As a former boba shop owner that dealt with a couple of landlords and the city. You will lose if you try to fight them. You signed a lease the landlord has you by the you know what. Going on videos bad mouthing them does you no good. They can hold your security deposit, add penalties, get on you to change your business all in the lease. So, my advice just suck it up and stop making these type of videos. You come off angry and can turn people away from your business.
