Amen brother good job. The enemy wants to keep our eyes fixed on ourselves and our sin so we don’t come to God for mercy and help, so we don’t feel good enough to serve, so he can condemn us before the law of Moses and also to move us to condemn others. But we are to fix our eyes on Jesus and know that now we are ministered life and reconciliation (by the law of the Spirit) and we will be judged by the law of liberty not the law of Moses which brings about wrath. I like how you talked about the verse in Jude. Amen, the Lord will keep us unto the Day!

Well said Brother! Eyes up! Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Acts 16:31 "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Colossians 1:14 "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:" Salvation is obtained by simply believing in Jesus' death (Blood sacrifice), burial and resurrection with all your heart for payment of all your sins, past, present and future.

What does the next verse Eph 2:10 say ? "We are His handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for the GOOD WORKs that God has prepared in advance that we SHOUD Live in them." All the dead were judged according to their deeds (Rev 20:13), those who have done GOOD DEEDS to the resurrection of Life, but those who have done wicked deeds to the resurrection of condemnation (John 5:29). Do you sin ? Then you are a slave of sin (John 8:34). Whoever sins belongs to the Devil (1 John 3:8). So many delude themselves quoting Eph 2:8-9 and thinking themselves saved. St. Paul said, "I chastise my body and bring it into subjection, for fear that, after having preached to others, I myself should become a reprobate (1 Cor 9:27)." St. Paul was concerned about losing salvation and, thus exhorted believers, "Work out your salvation with fear and trembling (Phil 2:12)." Do you think obtaining salvation is a piece of cake? That's why Our Lord said, "How narrow the gate and strait the road that leads to life, and those who find it are few (Matt 7:14). How hard it is to enter the Kingdom of Heaven (Mark 10:25)." St. Peter said, "If the righteous one is barely saved, where will the godless and the sinner appear (1 Peter 4:18)."

For some reason I never had a problem trusting God for justification, but I've always struggled with turn toward Him for Sanctification. The fruit of that mindset is exactly what you said doubt or pride. One other thing I experienced is the feeling that He was really disappointed in me all the time. @@PutGodfirst129 Yes, a change of mind. The Greek word is Metanoia, to change ones mind. From unbelief to belief. Not, repent of sins. God repented many times in the Old Testament! So was He repenting of sins? No, of course not! God was merely changing His mind. Unbelief is what God is not keen on. Our sins have been completely dealt with through the death of Jesus Christ. Just because we're completely forgiven, that God no longer imputes sin to our account, doesn't mean God wants us to stay in our sins, because we can become slaves to it, and Christ has come to set us free. Galatians 5:1. Regarding the repentance, of course, coming to this place of believing the Gospel of His Grace and Love, may certainly bring a person feelings of remorse and regret (Godly sorrow) for their sins (we're only human after all), but this cannot be added as part/requirement of our salvation. This would be adding to the pure message of the Gospel. Our redemption and justification is entirely by Faith which grants us our Peace with God (reconciliation). This is ALL through Christ, and we stand in that Great Grace in the guarantee (eternal security) of our certainty of Glorification. All by Grace through Faith, alone. 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4, Romans 5:1-2. Ephesians 2: 8-9. The unadulterated Gospel brings liberty and rest for the sinner. God's Love is offered freely to the ungodly sinner (everyone). From this place of Grace in which we stand, we are more likely to not sin. I know this to be true as a fact in my own spiritual walk. Simply believing the Gospel. Believing in the finished work, is what saves and brings rest from condemnation. Nothing of ourselves. So, NO, I don't need to repent of my sins. I know I'm a wretched sinner, God knows better than I do. He dealt with ALL my sin on Calvary. Unbelief is what kept me from being saved. Belief ALONE is what saved me. Coming to that understanding that Jesus Christ is the Saviour and I am the Saved. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. Acts 16:31. But to him that works not, but BELIEVES on Him that Justifies the ungodly, His FAITH is counted as righteousness. Romans 4:5. Jesus emphasised the simplicity of receiving the Gift of Eternal Life. Verily Verily, I say onto you, he who BELIEVES in ME HAS EVERLASTING LIFE. John 6:47. Believing the Gospel, saves us! Nothing added. This is the best news! THE GOOD NEWS! To whosoever will believe in the testimony of His Son. ❤❤❤ We ALL willfully sin! Actually ALL sin is willful. See the apostle Paul's analysis on his sinful condition in Romans 7. None of us can ever stand in our own righteousness, before God. Our righteousness is Only In Christ! Not in our failing attempts to keep the Law and Commandments. But now the righteousness of God without the Law is manifest being witnessed BY THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ. Onto ALL and upon all them that BELIEVE for there is no difference. For ALL HAVE SINNED and come short of the Glory of God. Being Justified FREELY BY HIS GRACE THROUGH THE REDEMPTION THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS. Romans 3:21-28. Grace Alone, gives God ALL THE GLORY. ❤👍👑 All who call upon Jesus Christ shall be saved. @@StalkedHuman Actually, the majority of the Christian world (aside from Catholics) falls under either Arminianism (Pentecostal/Charismatic) or Cavanist (Reformed) theology, both of which teach works as essential to get to heaven. They come at it from different angles, Calvanists to prove theyre saved and Arminians to keep their salvation, but both require works, and they are the vast majority of Protestants. It appeals to the flesh in that it either feeds pride ("I'm doing good enough to get into heaven") or plays off fear ("God, I need to do more to know I'm saved because I don't feel like it and Jesus will tell me He doesn't know me."). Preaching works will appeal to people on those fronts. To preach grace alone is an assult to our pride, and requires humility to accept. If you walk away thinking, "I get to sin now" it means you really didn't understand it because grace teaches us to turn from sin (Titus 2:11-12). People who truly understand grace are transformed by it towards being like Christ.

Self righteous pride & fear are 2 sides of the same coin. Fear is having faith in death rather than life. People must understand the concept that when we believe the gospel our spirit is made eternally alive and does not sin but we still have our old body of corrupt flesh...including our minds...whos very nature is sin. Once we grasp this truth that we now have 2 natures at war within ourselves until the redemption of our bodies we can actually make progress in our walk. Seeing ourselves baptized into Christs death and knowing His imputed righteousness is the fulcrum to maturity and renewal of our minds as we grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus and what is His glorious inheritance in the saints. We don't need to be in fear nor is there any room for pride....we're completely free & filled with inexpressible peace & joy as we rest and abide in Christ in full assurance of faith! Matthew 10:28 “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in hell”. This one verse proves that fear of hell is not the opposite of faith. FEAR of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom! It’s not pride but rather the opposite. We realize we are sinful and must “make every effort” to obey. Salvation is not possible without Jesus sacrifice. That does not give us a license to sin all we want. Saying we believe and actually believing are 2 separate things. If we know others by their fruits we can also recognize ourselves by our fruits.
@myflourishingfam

There is absolutely a difference between a professor of Christ and a posessor of Christ, and while fruits can show us His hand in our lives, Christians can still choose to live below that and you won't see Christ through them. 1 Cor 3:1-3 Paul told the Christians there that they were living just like unbelievers in the world, after telling them they were saved (1 Cor 1:2, 7-8) and going in the rapture (1 Cor 15:51-52). They had a massive rebuke, but didn't loose their salvation.

Matt 28:19-20 is the great commission, not how to be/stay saved. It's a command for His disciples of what their mission is. Luke 6:46-49 is not about how to get or stay saved. It's what God wants His children to do, how He wants them to live. Living by His commands is wise, not doing so is foolish (obviously). Is your child your child because they obey you? Is it foolish for a child to ignore their parents guidance, commands, and instructions? Are they still your child if they don't? John 15:9-10 is a promise that if we love Him and keep His commands, we remain in His love. It doesn't say to remain saved. If your child obeys your commands, do they remain your child or remain in your love (good fellowship)? John 14:15 if you love Him, keep His commands. Absolutely. Nothing in that verse is about salvation, but rather what to do AS a saved person. Spend time with Him and you'll love Him. We're saved by faith (trust) in what He did for us. Love for Him comes out of that as we grow in our faith. *Salvation means to be saved/safe/secure, discipleship means being a student/pupil/learner.* Discern these differences and you won't end up mixing works with faith for salvation: Salvation is a free gift, discipleship is costly. Salvation cost Jesus, discipleship costs us. Salvation is a one time event, discipleship is a lifelong process. Salvation results in eternal life, discipleship results in rewards and authority. Salvation results in justification, discipleship results in sanctification (in our daily walk, positionally we’re sanctified by Christ Eph 5:25-26). Salvation has one condition, discipleship has multiple conditions. Salvation is not by works, discipleship does involve works. Salvation is what God does for us, discipleship is what God does through us. Failing to discern these things leads people mix them into a works-based gospel.

The Corinthians were living just like unbelievers. 1 Cor 3:1-3 "And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?" Nearly all of 1 Cor (chapters 1-15) is a giant rebuke for their sin, carnality, and heretical teaching. Yet Paul affirmed they were saved (1 Cor 1:2, 7-8) and going in the rapture (1 Cor 15:51-52). Sometimes believers walk like the world, which they absolutely should not, but it doesn't negate their saved status.

I believe this currently, lest I'm proven otherwise as I've prayed for a humble heart: It's both works + faith alone as well as faith alone. It's both. Not both work + faith, but work + faith and faith alone. Sounds paradoxical but it's not. On the level of the Spirit of God, we're saved through faith alone. On the level of the flesh, we must love God through our devotion to him as well as have faith in Him. I was essentially Protestant and just stayed sinning and suffering in depression while telling myself Jesus saved me over when obviously that wasn't the case. It took actual intent and work, which was all through God, yet it took alignment with God on the level of the flesh to do that.

We're saved by grace through faith, not of ourselves, it's a gift from God (Eph 2:8-9). Salvation itself is a gift no one can earn or deserve, or qualify for on the basis of our peformance. We're children of God by faith (Gal 3:26) in Christ Jesus. As we grow and mature in Him, we head down the path of discipleship. Being saved is being justified freely by faith in Christ's death and resurrection for us (Gal 3:24, 1 Cor 15:1-4). If you don't discern salvation from discipleship, we end up in a faith+works system: Salvation means to be saved/safe/secure, discipleship means being a student/pupil/learner. Salvation is a free gift, discipleship is costly. Salvation cost Jesus, discipleship costs us. Salvation is a one time event, discipleship is a lifelong process. Salvation results in eternal life, discipleship results in rewards and authority. @@myflourishingfam I consider salvation to be freedom and an entering into the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. Notice how everything you're saying is from Paul, who was speaking from the spirit, not the flesh. When you are speaking from the flesh, you need works. Hence Jesus saying: Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven." John 9:4 "I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work." Luke 6:46-49 "But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do the things which I say? Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock." Revelation 2:23 "And all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works." I used to believe it was only faith alone. It's not and it is. It's faith alone on the level of our Spirit - as Paul speaks from, hence him saying in one verse he is a wicked sinner, that is him speaking from flesh, yet later going on to say he and all of us are righteous. Jesus was speaking to those of us in the flesh: do works to align your flesh with the spirit and die to your flesh which doesn't want to do works. So I still believe it is both. On the level of the flesh, we must first have faith then do works. On the level of Spirit of God, which is in all of us and is what observes our thoughts and is known in scientific terms as consciousness, all it takes is faith and no works at all.

We can feed those that hunger for food or His bread, the word of God. We are called to love our neighbors as our self. Many are called to preach as you are doing. Jesus also said to do our Father's will. These are all works. There are more options then pride or fear for our desire to work. I serve Him because I love him. I judge no one for choosing not to work. I urge them for their own faith increase. I am not Him however I am His. It is finished yes. Galatians 3:1-14 King James Version 3 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. 5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. 12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Their lips praise him, but their hearts are far from him. What does this mean? You say you have faith, but you have nothing to prove it. What proves faith? Your works. That's why in the bible, it says, 'show your faith without works, and I will show my faith with my works.' The point here is not that works save you, but works prove our faith, which means Christ will be our advocate on the Judgment day. If you don't obey Jesus' commands, he will say he don't know you on the judgment day. How much should you obey? As much as you can. It's a daily process of repentance from your sins, which pleases God as you're trying to be better than yesterday. God knows your heart. Faith without works is dead. How can dead faith save you? Don't be fooled into thinking you read bible every day, so you'll get saved. It's not about what you say, but what you do that matters. Lord will judge our EVERY EMPTY WORD in the end. If you said all your life that you love christ, but never did any good work in his name, and even stumbled to show your faith, what does that make you? We're all imperfect, which is why God wants to perfect us through faith, through tribulations. In this life, we will have to suffer for Christ. If the Master gets crucified, then how much more his servants? To put it short, faith and works cannot exist without one another. Works without faith won't get you to heaven as we're never qualified because only Christ can wash our sins. And faith without works is dead and is never faith to begin with. So, if you have real faith, then your works will show yourself and the world who you are. We ought to be lights in this world, and lights are supposed to shine, not through words but through actions. Our good works here will later get us rewards in heaven, but it is our faith and our love for Christ, which isn't earn but gifted to us by God himself who chose us, that will give us eternal life. So, all glory goes to Him in the end. Our works are also because of his love and mercy. We're alive because of his love and mercy. So, a true christian will never have pride in his works because he/she knows that it's God who allows them to breathe, and it is the Heavenly Father who giveth and taketh away.

If works do not save us in the first place then it's completely illogical to look to works as proof a person is saved...the only "proof" there is a person is saved is by the fruit of their lips which is their testimony concerning Christ. We who have believed that Jesus died to pay for our sin and was raised for our justification are complete in Christ. We must get justification down before we can discuss what we should do afterwards.

@@RobertMclaren68 How is it illogical? I give you a gift. You use it well, or you misuse it. If you use it well, you get to heaven. If you don't, then you are not getting into heaven. God, by default, offered salvation to all those who believe. Here belief comes not from lips but from heart. If you say you love christ, but do nothing that befits your claims, then you're only deluding yourself. How will Christ defend you before the Heavenly Father on Judgment day when you only confessed through your lips and never repented? The bible doesn't preach you don't have to repent. Even in the last days, angels will come and tell people to repent from their sins, but the people won't. Christ died for a purpose. If you think you can just cheat your way into heaven by saying you love Christ but don't do the things he tell you to do, then you're only fooling yourself. Christ clearly told us... if you love me, obey my commands... which are, love God and love your neighbor as yourself. He didn't tell you keep uttering that Christ is God. God doesn't want lip-service. He hates long prayers, made with pretense. Again, I'm telling you works and faith can't exist apart from each other. So, your claim of being illogical never had any logic to begin with. Faith saves us, no doubt, but not dead faith. True faith is proven by works, so works are necessary for proof, not for anything else, so you can't boast about them. A person who does one good work in Christ's name can get to heaven just like someone who did a thousand good works. Both are qualified for salvation as their faith isn't fake. I hope you get my point. God doesn't want fakes in heaven. He want genuine people, however small or big they maybe. Otherwise, his death was in vain. Heaven rejoices over one sinner that repents and comes to the Lord.... Why? Because he said he loves Christ but keeps on doing things that shame Christ? No. It's because 'repentance' is evident through his lifestyle.... which leads to Christ coming and living in that person. Anyway, let's pray that God give us the wisdom to understand his word better.

A Christian can have pride in their works, as a Christian can sin in many other ways. Faith means trust. When you trust in the finished work of Christ, you have faith in it. We are saved by faith/trust. God knows if you really trust in Him or not. He doesn't need to see works, because He already knows. Should we persue good works? Absolutely. Do they vindicate us before God? No, but before man. James 2 is about being justified before others. "Show ME your faith without works..." Not show God, but man. Works justify us before man, just as the examples of Abraham and Rahab showed. We are justified vertically with God by faith (Rom 4:4-5), and horizontally before man by works (James 2). Faith without works is dead, just as a body without a spirit (James 2:26). Just as a spirit invigorates a body that exists, so works invigorate a faith that exists. A body without a spirit is not non-existant, but practically useless in this world. Likewise, faith without works is practically useless in this world if it doesn't produce works. Do they trust in Christ for salvation? Yes, but are they allowing God to use them by stepping out in faith? No. We are saved FOR good works, not BY good works (Eph 2:10).

@ We are saved by faith through grace. God's grace is what qualifies us, but how does it qualify? God will separate the sheep and the goats. How? He will judge everyone by their works. Our sins are blotted out if we believe in Christ, but that doesn't mean we can keep sinning. By default, if we believe in Christ, we will be fruitful through our works. That's how you can tell apart from the sheep from the goats, by their fruits. So, I don't get why you keep saying that works don't matter. Works LITERALLY prove your faith. If you don't feed your poor brother but only say 'be full and happy,' do you think you're pleasing God? You ought to be holy through actions, not words. Each and every person's sanctification process is the proof that Holy Spirit is working in us. Our works are credited not just to us but to God as well. Anyway, I can keep saying this, but the main point is, faith and works go together. Faith itself is a work of sorts, but of course, it is God who chooses us, not of ourselves. So, the major credit goes to him.

Look, I'm a big nerd. I like videogames, some anime, cult classic movies (meaning older cheesy movies from the 80s and 90s), D&D, etc. I'm also a bit of a metal head too. I'd always hear from so many different preachers that these things were evil and a true Christian should never do these things, and if you do then you may not be a legitimate Christian. I do struggle a lot with anger, lust, and laziness, but I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures. Sometimes I'm afraid. Sometimes I doubt. If I'm being honest, If the Lord were to come back today I would be afraid. I feel like he'd be angry with me, but Then whenever I watch videos like yours or other grace teachers it puts my heart at ease. THAT right there is the Holy Spirit confirming that I am His. Yet... I have no desire top go to church. It's really hard for me to pick up my bible and read it (because in the past every time I did I would only feel fear and condemnation), and I don't pray that much. Yet I see this world, and I see everything that everyone else is worried about or focused on and I just think to myself "why bother"? Everything here is temporary. It's all going to pass away. There's nothing new under the sun. I mean I myself have my own desires and dreams here on this earth. I wanna own some land, build a cabin, meet someone, fall madly in love with her, marry her, and have a family of my own one day, but at the end of the day I'm wondering if that's even something I should concern myself with. I'm my own worst critic. I tend to always look at my own shortcomings and failures. I'm quick to point out the negative aspects of myself. Most of the time I think to myself what woman would wanna be with a loser like me? But anyway I'm being sappy. Idk why I rambled like I did. Maybe I'm just word vomiting or just getting something off my chest, Idk. God bless you all!

Hey! The more you're grounded in God's grace, the more God will transform you (Titus 2:11-12). You're His child by faith, not works. Gal 3:26 "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus." We're saved by faith, not faithfulness. As you grow in Christ and fall in love with God more and more, you won't be ashamed at His return but be confident and excited! Not wanting to go to church is the flesh (and sometimes demonic influences as well). Some churches are boring too lol but find a good church and make the effort. It's worth it. Also make time for God throughout the day. Start with 5 min a day and build on that! Struggling with sin doesn't mean you aren't saved. God wants your heart. He wants you to trust in Him, in what He did for you on the cross. If you did that, you're saved. Faith is trust. You trust that He paid the price in full for your sins and will raise you up again after death. The gospel is 1 Cor 15:1-4. It sounds like many of the preachers you listed are Calvanist/Reformed, who believe that God chooses who to save and who not to, and that you must endure in good works to prove you're one of the elect. There are some things I'm sure they teach well, but since they get the core of salvation wrong I'd distance myself from that crowd. I'm glad to hear you listen to grace teachers! As long as they don't go into what's called licensiousness/hypergrace ("do what you want, God's OK with sin"). Some I've really learned a lot from are Oronato Diamante, Andy Woods, Charlie Bing, Charles Ryrie, and Thomas Stegall. Check them out on KZbin, they're great. Don't worry about hobbies, etc. If a game/movie, etc has bad, sinful content, then I encourage you not to keep it. Take it to God sincerely and He'll help you. I like games and movies too, but God has changed my heart the more time I spend with Him and I don't want the bad stuff anymore. He's not against you having likes and passions, but don't let them take His place at the center of your heart and make sure they're not contrary to Him. Dreams are fine, but put them in His hands. Be about His work, getting to know Him and living for Him, serving Him, and He'll bring these things in time. I'm speaking from experience! God bless!!

As you mature in Christ you'll naturally head in the direction of discipleship, but not all believers actively persue that. Salvation is free, discipleship is costly. Salvation cost Jesus, discipleship costs us. Salvation is justification, discipleship is about sanctification. Salvation is what God does for us, discipleship is what we do for God. You cannot come here and say what you think about scripture or even what it means if you do not have a discerment from God. Lean not on your own understanding and please don't listen other people and their explainations of the scripture because they also may be in error. 1 Chorintians 2:11-15 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so no man knoweth the things of God, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God. 13 These things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged by no man.

A person is saved by believing the gosepl of Jesus Christ. Belief means trust. You don't simply say some words or acknowledge Jesus, you trust in what He did for us on the cross. At that point, God seals you with the Holy Spirit until when? The day of redemption (Eph 4:30). His sealing of you is His active will, which cannot be undone (Rev 3:7). He owns you once you choose Him because He pays for you with the blood of Jesus and you are not your own anymore (1 Cor 6:19-20). That doesn't mean you don't have free will, but you can't undo what's been done. Children have free will but can never undo the fact that they're their parent's child.

A birth cannot be undone or reversed. “Once born, always born, SALVATION (ETERNAL LIFE) IS A FREE GIFT. It is not something that is earned or can be deserved. Works earn “rewards,” not salvation. Romans 5:15-18, 6:23; Eph. 2:8,9; 1 Corinthians 3:11-15. SALVATION IS BASED UPON HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, NOT OURS. Philippians 3:9 and 2 Corinthians 5:21 teach that it is Christ’s righteousness that is imputed to our account. Romans 8:33. WE ARE KEPT BY THE POWER OF GOD. 1 Peter 1:4,5 teaches this. If it is God’s power that keeps us, who is stronger or more powerful than God? JESUS IS HOLDING US IN HIS HAND. John 10:28. We are not holding onto God; He is holding onto us! WE SHALL NEVER COME INTO CONDEMNATION OR JUDGMENT. John 5:24 teaches us this. As in John 3:16 and John 10:28 wherein we are told we will NEVER PERISH. In John 11:25 wherein Jesus said the believer will “NEVER DIE,” here we are told the believer will “NEVER COME INTO CONDEMNATION.” WE HAVE ALREADY PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE. Now get this. According to John 5:24, THE BELIEVER SHALL NEVER DIE. In John 11:25 Jesus said to Martha that “whoever lives and believes in me shall NEVER die.” JESUS SAID HE WOULD NOT CAST US OUT. As in Hebrews 13:5 wherein Jesus said He would never leave us nor forsake us, He tells us in John 6:37 He will never cast us out. JESUS WILL LOSE NOTHING (THAT INCLUDES US). John 6:39 tells us that Jesus will lose nothing WE ARE “JUSTIFIED” (DECLARED RIGHTEOUS) BY FAITH. When it is God who does the justifying, that is all we need. Romans 5:1 teaches us that it is because we are justified by faith that we have “peace with God.” WE ARE SEALED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. When it is God who does the sealing, man cannot break the seal. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS OUR “EARNEST. (GUARANTEE) OF OUR INHERITANCE. GOD SAYS WE CAN KNOW WE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. We are taught in I John 5:13 that the believer can “KNOW” that he has eternal life. EVEN IF WE ARE FAITHLESS, GOD REMAINS FAITHFUL FOR HE CANNOT DENY HIMSELF. 2 Timothy 2:13 We are “in Christ” once we have believed. For Him to deny us, He would have to deny Himself. NOBODY (INCLUDING SATAN) CAN LAY ANYTHING TO OUR CHARGE. If God declares us righteous, who is Satan to say otherwise? Romans 8:33. NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US FROM GOD’S LOVE. Romans 8:37-39 teaches this clearly. “Nothing” certainly includes our sin. THE GIFTS AND CALLINGS OF GOD ARE WITHOUT REPENTANCE. Romans 11:29 Nobody can argue that salvation is not a gift. SALVATION IS NEVER BASED ON WORKS SO HOW COULD ONE LOSE IT BY EVEN BAD WORKS? Verses like Ephesians 2:8,9, Titus 3:5, Romans 3:28, 4:5, 11:6, and Galatians 2:16 all clearly teach the receiving of salvation apart from works. THE BIBLE DOES NOT TEACH THAT SALVATION CAN BE LOST. While there are numerous verses that some THAT TRY to use to teach that salvation can be lost, there are no verses that say such a thing.

more proof...........if you and I could lose God's free gift of salvation (which is by faith alone in the Gospel): 1. God would have to pass us back from life unto death. John 5:24, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” 2. God would have to take back His free gift of eternal life, making Him a liar. Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” 3. God would have to remove us spiritually from being seated with Christ in heavenly places. Ephesians 2:6, “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” 4. God would have to "un-join" us from Christ. Ephesians 4:16, “From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” 5. God would have to "un-wash" us from the blood of Jesus that already washed me (1st Corinthians 6:9-11; Revelation 1:5). 1st John 1:7, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 6. God would have to "un-seal" us from the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 1:13-14, “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” 7. God would have to impute our sins back to us, which He has already imputed to Jesus Christ by faith. Romans 4:5-6, “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,” 8. God would have to restore our sins, no longer removed as far as the east is from the west. Psalms 103:12, “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” 9. God would have to remember our sins again, which He had previously forgotten. Isaiah 43:25, “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.” 10. God would have to break His own covenant He made with His Son and therefore would make Him a liar. Ezekiel 16:8, “Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.” 11. God would have to "un-adopt" us as His child. Romans 8:15, “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” 12. God would have to leave and forsake us, even though He promised to never do so. Hebrews 13:5, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” 13. God would have to "pluck us" out from His own hand, which He has already promised that nothing could ever do! John 10:28: “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.” 14. God would have to take back the free gift of eternal life that He has already given to us by faith. Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” 15. God would have to “undo” the righteousness that He has already imputed to you and me by faith. Romans 4:6, “Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,” 16. God would have to fail to raise us up on the last day, going back on His solemn promise to do so. John 6:40, “ And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” 17. God would have to fail in completing the “good work” in us, that He has already promised to perform. Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” 18. God would have to ignore the prayers of His Son on our behalf, Who intercedes for us as believers. John 17:9, “I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.” 19. The Holy Spirit would have to stop making intercession for us when we pray. Romans 8:26. “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” 20. Jesus would have to stop being our heavenly High Priest. Hebrews 7:25, “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” 21. It would mean that salvation is really a reward and not a free gift, since we must do something to keep it. Romans 3:19-20, “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” 22. It would mean that we are no longer married to Christ. 2nd Corinthians 11:2, “For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.” 23. It would mean that no believer can rejoice with 100% confidence that our name is written in Heaven, because we might lose it. Luke 10:20, “Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” 24. It would cause every believer to live in fear, worry and uncertainty, never knowing if we are truly saved. 1st John 5:13, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” 25. The entire Bible would have to be written to retain God's integrity. The Gospel of John teaches us simply to BELIEVE to be saved. If salvation could be lost because of sin, unfaithfulness or any other reason, for the man that BELIEVES, then God lied
