I’m from East Los, and get a old feeling of all the people I grew up, by seeing this video. I couldn’t imagine seeing the style I grew up with, when I was younger. Hopefully you find the dream we all have, to prosper while being yourself.

Growing up in South LA, my mom and dad would have whooped my ass if they saw me hanging out with people dressed like that, let alone tatted. Not gonna lie though, it's dope seeing other cultures embrace Chicano culture. My respects
@davidsalas6908 Жыл бұрын
Having watched several documentaries about this trend in Asian countries, It seems to be more about the style and expression. I grew up in East LA in the 70's and 80's and back then, it was more about claiming territory.. I don't know how to explain it... it was just waaay different than the unity angle that most of these guys are doing. I like it! I am very intrigued as to how some cultures even became aware of our culture. They definitely got the details down.

Not only am I Paisa Mexican but from seeing lots of other nations have some sort of Mexican culture or tradition. I've come to the conclusion that you can be Mexican and where in the world. Mexican is a way of life, culture, tradition, customs. Maybe they weren't born in Mexico but they are still Mexican in my eyes. They are Raza in my eyes.

@@daniellozada3408 what's negative about it? Your opinion is just social conditioning. A tattoo isn't good or bad, what it can symbolise and interpret could be negative. Other than that it's what your conditioned to think. If you were in a tribe where tattoos were normal, you wouldn't consider asking this question.

Much respect to the West Coast subculture in its inclusiveness regardless of race and creed.It goes to show how much impact the Hip hop culture of the 1990s had on everyone.I mean globally brands like Hennessy,Nike,Versage and many got free marketing,without this help they would never reached the heights they reached. Hip hop and this subculture of which was misnomered as Gangsta Rap at times it does not sit well.

The history of Chicanos, Mexican-Americans born on American soil, is rooted in a complex conflict of not being fully accepted in either Mexico or America. This struggle has shaped their identity and experiences. The distinctive dress of Chicanos reflects the working-class background, often limited to work clothes due to financial constraints. However, it is the first-generation babies born in America who serve as a bridge, helping their parents navigate the language barrier. It is important to recognize that being Chicano is not merely a fashion statement or a vibe from the barrios; it represents a people who face the challenges of living in the United States while not being fully embraced in Mexico due to their American birth.
