I watched the full movie, and may I say, I don't cry often. I bawled my eyes out and my parents thought something was wrong. 10/10 would recommend to friends. In my opinion this was the best dog movie I have seen in a L O N G time.

My wife just rented a movie about a dog which she and the girls were watching last night. I have never witnessed such a thing. All 4 of my girls were crying much throughout the movie. Every time something bad happened to the dog, they would cry. I kept telling them that it was just a movie but they cried anyways. I was doing fine and their crying did not bother me, but it wasn’t until I heard our youngest burst out loudly in tears, I knew that this movie is one for the record. My poor baby girls. All four along with my wife were crying. I will admit that I shed a tear or two but not until the end.

Our dog ran from home one day and he didn't return all night. We were very worried. When he came back in the early morning.. He didn't have his collar on. We knew someone must have had taken him in. Tied him. Because we put the collar loose on our dog so that whenever he feels like he can take it out himself. But the thing was.. He found his way back home. He came back. My baby.

I read the book, and the squirrel isn't how Bella got lost. An animal control guy kept saying she was a pitbull and kept taking her away from Lucas, the owner, because pitbulls are banned in Denver. And then Lucas took Bella to a foster home, and that day Lucas was picking her up but she didn't know so she ran away trying to find Lucas.

The authors wife has replied to several people who share your concerns on the books facebook page. She states that the trailer is very misleading and that the actual movie is 100% faithful to the book. I'm thinking the trailer was simply edited to make it look like Bella got lost chasing the squirrel, but in the actual movie it shows she is taken away by law enforcement. The producers of the movie are trying to get families into see the movie, so they make the trailer very cutesy and not political in any way. The movie though, she is assuring, is completely faithful to the book, she said BSL and breed discrimination is extremely important to her and her husband and they made sure the message is in the movie and is very clear.

All three of these films are absolute gems, they are promoted like cheap straight to video equivalent movies, that might easily be dismissed, but the acting is first class and the storytelling of these are perfect and so heartwarming, to the point I feel undeserving of my dog. If you are here for a review, watch them all in order, a dogs purpose, a dogs journey, then this. I live in hope that when my dog goes, he'll eventually find his way back to me in some form, or make someone else as happy as he makes me, at least.

Almost everyone had that moment of losing their dog at one point. Mine happened when she ran away around Christmas season and she’s less than 1 year old. She is still not used going outside so she took the chance when I left my gate open. I bawled my eye out looking for her when there’s a lot of blocks and alleys on our area. It’s really hard to feel that helplessness. I’m just so lucky I got her back on the same night! Sad tho is I lost my rescued kitten just this Christmas season and it still makes me sad when I think about her. :(

I just saw the movie, and holy frick, I cried happy and sad tears so many times, which is extremely rare for me to cry from a movie. I was all happy one minute then the next I was sad again and just silently saying “Stop making me change emotionssssss” I loved this movie though Edit: woah 40 likes- that’s the most I’ve ever had

Once my dog named lucy went outside to play but didn't return back home .. i was so upset n sad..but after one week one day i was standing outside looking for her ...and then what i saw .. she was coming home running so fast .. she was covered with lots of blood in her body 😭😭 she was bitten by some stray dogs , injured , and she was hungry ,lost energy. .. really its been 11 years but i still remember that day ..i was so happy seeing my dog lucy alive..she found her way back to home just like bella....my dear lucy RIP..i miss you always..she left us 11 years ago 😔😔

Yes frequently. Also My dog often shadows me and i don't see her sneak into the room behind me. and so when I leave the room I don't know that she's in there and So I accidently lock her in the bedroom or whatever room it is. But I don't figure it out until I haven't seen her for a while and I get panicky wondering where she is and I go looking around the house for her. And when I find her she's all excited to see me.

I once spent 4 hours searching for my dog even calling the police and sheriffs dept...She was asleep under my blankets the whole time. And when I found her she just looked at me like I was the dumb one LOL
