I went to Branson for the first time in 2014. My fiance wanted to go. I really didnt want to go. We stayed in log cabins on dogwood I believe in Indian pointe. I knew within 24 hours I wanted to live in Branson. It truly is a special place.

@@dannybransonusa honestly, the atmosphere, table rock lake, all the fun things to do and most of all....the people. I only saw maybe 1% of the place. I would move there today if I could. I'm hoping to in the future.

The entertainment section reminds me of Anaheim from the 50's thru the '90's before they redeveloped it, kind of a mish mash of signs and architectural elements. Love the area on Main St. and the area by the convention center and waterfront looks nice.

One of my favorite places in Branson is SHEPHERD OF THE HILLS. Took a tour then went up in the INSPIRATION TOWER

Sure has changed alot since the 70's. I used to live on a farm that is now a car wash.

Ok, If I am not mistaken, it was approximately where Larino's car wash sits on 76. My grandfather founded a company-Ozark Concrete, (late 70's early 80's)which he owned what I think was 2 side by side 80 acre plots, the house was on one, and he quarried out of the other one, so if you find evidence of a quarry, that's the place-it would be way in the back. The house itself was a normal farmhouse with a HUGE room addition. In the back of the huge addition was a hand made fireplace with a sunken floor and stuff. When we moved I came up to KC, but he built one of the first houses on the lake in Hollister. (I can't even find that house now it's so different) Anyway, the house in Branson burned down in the 80's. I was pretty young but I think that is where it was, I might be wrong though.

How mountainous is this drive and the city in general?...last year went to Gatlinburg, TN and my family was a little worn out from that trip.

Not mountainous at all compared to TN. Our Ozark mountains are beautiful though.
