Camp Bowie is regarded as a district and a historic corridor. It's a region or neighborhood that mostly gets it's essence from the six miles of road that is Camp Bowie Boulevard. Two of the six miles of road are paved in red Thurber bricks, so you can drive slowly and check out the trees and green grass along the median. There is a number of rows of shops and restaurants along the strip as well as historic and impressive looking church buildings. Kincaid's is a popular spot for burgers. In terms of live music around the area you can check out Bowie House, the Ridglea Theater, Meat Board, Oscar's Pub and Magnolia Motor Lounge. Ultimately I made it out to Dead End Trading Post to play some music. Good times.
