when I watch Bob Ross sometimes I can't tell what he's doing and then BAM it's a work of art, and I feel like this is the audio version of that

Adopted this workflow on my iPad with koala and various synth apps. The more I use it and get better at it the more I realize I don’t need to spend big dollars on a hardware sampler lol.

This could all be done on a raspberry pi if you were comfortable with it and it provided an inspiring environment. Glad the iPad is working for you

Wait till you want to start using parameter locks and having other hardware run through to be effected. Honestly the Octatrack is worth it if you have the $ and are committed to learning it as an instrument. Guys like Jon, ezbot and villager showed me that. However, different strokes for different folks ✌🏼
@mikenoface6 ай бұрын
@@boombap08 Drambo does p-locks and is very similar to Elektron workflow (with a built-in Modular synth). AUM is a mixer app that allows you to run Synth/Drum machine apps through FX apps. iPads are very capable self-contained little studios in their own right. Madlib makes most of his new shit on iPad (incl. Bandana album). But yeah.. having tactile keys and knobs is good too. 🤘
@NeverToBeSeenAgain6 ай бұрын
I do the same! Koala as my sampler, and I use VHS Synth plus some effects through AUM to record bits.
