When all I had was a Roland W-30 with limiting sample time, I had to be very strategic and creative. There were no sample packs etc. We had to make our own and pray to God that we chopped them enough to not get a copyright strike.😂😂😂. Now I solely use a desktop pc with midi controllers but every now and then I pull out my yamaha RY-30 to limit myself to dig deeper. Great video man; new subscriber here.

I'm really sick of these videos made by "producers" who have made no achievements themselves trying to talk to us about how to be successful. You have the same opinions and station in this industry as my grandmother. Neither of you are successful and neither of you like laptop computers. Any smart person opens this video and says "Yeah, but who are YOU?" Therefore, your video is only for people who aren't smart enough to know you haven't done anything that makes you an authority on anything...

I'm even cooler... I don't make beats at all. I make music (I'm kidding. Beats are cool, but it is kind of annoying that that's the first thing people assume when you tell them you make music. They forget real instruments still exist)

I deeply feel the comment about not being a player. It’s one of those things that I saw certain people in my groups and friends circles. There were certain guys they would go onto music school or they studied theory and they just grind and grind and grind on every aspect of music and performance and writing. on the other hand I would always do it just by ear and this is one reason why I don’t do live streams is cause I personally think my process is so boring to anyone watching it would take hours and hours and hours of just redoing the same part1000 times. I typically don’t like using quantize either besides on drum tracks
