Great shave Jmac! This is one of my favorites!! The soap definitely has a nice sweet scent… the pineapple is there but a little faint. I agree it would nicer if the scent was a tad more powerful. I have the K2 version and not the K2e newest version, but off the full tub, it definitely feels like an inspired by rather than a straight Aventus clone. Now the splash, holy cow THAT is incredible. VERY close to that pineapple citrus Aventus opening everyone loves and then the dry down (rather quick wish it lasted a tad longer) for the splash is fantastic. I asked Peter from A&E if he would be coming out with an extrait parfum of Spartacus ever, he said he’d rather focus on his own fragrances than just straight up dupes and clones. I can respect that. But it would be nice to get a $40-50 Charkalis clone rather than the infamous Armaf crap de nuit lemon cleaner dupes 😂

Hey Sully! Appreciate the info my man! This one definitely had the inspired by vibe, but it makes sense the splash really brings the scent to life, I have a couple from A&E that do that as well… looks like I may have to add this one to the collection than, as I did rather enjoy it, and totally agree, if there’s a scent that needs a banger of an extrait, it’s this one, save us some money by not having to buy a $500 fragrance lol.

@@JMac. facts!! If you like Aventus stuff, not sure if you tried HAGS Undertow, but that is a very good Aventus inspired by. The soap on that one is kind of the reverse of the splash of A&E… the fragrance is pretty powerful - haven’t tried the undertow splash.

Great shave Justin! It is worth noting that different Aventus dupes will smell different depending on when they were duped. For example, older soaps like Stirling Executive Man and Fine Platinum smell smokier than newer dupes because the older Aventus batches were smokier than more recent batches, if that makes any sense. Thanks Ben! And yeah man, that makes perfect sense actually, that’s likely why I like Platinum so much because it’s almost a dead ringer for the decant of Aventus I had, so that scent memory is still there. Appreciate that insight!

I picked up the edt version of platinum over the summer. Love the stuff, its not quite Aventus but its definitely the closest I’ve smelled

Thanks Rusty! Yeah, luckily have lots of razors loaded and ready to go if needed lol. I’m trying to figure out how I want to record the guitar build, either do one longer video highlighting each step, or do a series of shorter videos with each step. Either way, it should be a fun project and as long as I don’t mess up, we will be good.

Nice shave Justin! That sample in the bag looks messy! I prefer using little 5 gram jars myself, but it really doesn't make a huge difference. I love that smoky pineapple from aventus, and can see why so many artisans try to duplicate it. It's an awesome scent. Have a great week brother!

Thanks Aaron! I don’t mind samples in bags, that way they can be mailed in an envelope, to put them in jars means they have to be boxed and that’s an easy $25 worth of shipping in Canada which frankly is y worth it. Definitely a wildly duped scent, but for good reason. A great week to you too!

@@Callahangonefishin I’ll tell ya, as long as o don’t mess up, this is going to be a stunning guitar, I have a mock up roughly done up in a photo editor and it looks amazing. Feathers do play nice with the milder razors, that’s been my favourite way to shave for a couple years now, mild razor, super sharp blade… perfection!!

Next shave will be better. Give the ol skin a rest. I’ve been dealing with some irritation as well. It started with the Karve E plate. So far it seems a bit too much for me. Today will be a 34c milder shave after skipping a day. Later bro.

That’s right! I’ll do the same, skip a day and than grab a mild razor with a fresh blade, this was the B plate which really surprised me, but my neck was feeling funny before the shave anyway, should have just skipped today too perhaps. Ahhh well, live and learn. Have a great night!

Bummer about the irritation bro. While I have not smelled actual Creed Adventus, all of the dudes or inspired by have smelled like dirty feet to me and I just cannot get passed it lol.
