Merry Christmas Rhonda! Wonderful devotional today. I agree, Jesus is our greatest and forever gift. Let’s keep Him in the forefront of our thoughts. Sometimes difficult with the many distractions of this time of year. Thank you for the Christmas tour of you beautiful home as well as the tour of the Longwood Gardens. I believe you took us through the gardens last year❤️😁 I’ve been considering the Sophie Scarf pattern for some of my handspun. I think your most recent Sophie Scarf is a perfect size. Speaking of size, I like the way the Lion Brand sweater fits you. The sleeves are perfect and the body is a “sweat shirt” look that’s popular. Caitlin Hunters “Gloam” pattern has a full fit as well. Very pretty pattern and she is listing that as a dk weight. I added that to my Ravelry library. Thank you😁 Wishing you and your family a glorious, restful Christmas.

I understand. If you’re not happy with the fit of the cardigan it will not be something you enjoy wearing. I have one of those in my closet that I plan on rippingg out this year to salvage the yarn. Thank you!! Such a sweet comment. The pattern for the Glenfiddich (the cabled sweater) is not difficult at all. It's a beautifully written pattern and easy to follow. It was a bit more time-consuming because of the cables, but it is worth it. You could do it, I'm sure! What helped me in following the pattern was to write out a chart just for the size I was making because the way it's written, all the sizes are given together and it was a bit confusing sometimes to be able to see which size I was working with. Once I made the chart, it went much smoother. Blessings!❤️

Merry Christmas Rhonda. Your cardigan is stunning. Beautiful work. I find some of the best time spent praying and talking with God is while mucking my horse stalls. To most it’s a yucky place to be but to me it is a beautiful reminder of the birthplace of our Lord and Savior.

Just wanted to say thank you for your lovely podcast, it is much appreciated. Also Rowan Felted Tweed is marketed as a DK yarn, but I find it makes the best fabric for garments and accessories if knitted on 3.75mm needles - almost a sport weight. I have also knitted it in colour work on 2.5mm for Christmas baubles for the tree. This makes a suitably dense fabric for stuffing. It is a superb yarn with no pilling. It’s one of my favourites. Another lovely episode. This Christmas was a somber time for us. We lost our youngest son due to a very long illness. We had to endure not only his 1st heavenly birthday but his 1st heavenly Christmas! We are thankful he is no longer in pain. Your wonderful podcast helped me refocus on the joyous part of the season. Hi Rhonda - What a wonderful devotional time you shared in this episode. We all need to make time and make room for Jesus in our hearts and lives, and cannot be reminded of that too often. Regarding your Wishmaker Mitts - have you ever tried using 2 circular needles? I use 2 circulars for socks sometimes- put 1/2 the stitches on each circular needle and it’s so much easier to do a round. I don’t dislike double pointed needles but there are patterns that are easier on 2 circulars and it seems this may solve your issue with the mitts. Hope it helps! I truly enjoyed your podcast. I am curious about the Glenfiddish cardigan. Would you be able to tell me what size you knitted and how many skeins of your suggested yarn you used?

Hi Mary! Thanks for your kind words about the podcast. I'm so glad you're enjoying it. As for the Glenfiddich, I used size L1. The yarn is Rauma Strikkegarn and I used about 10 1/2 skeins. I think the cables take up a lot more yarn than just flat knitting. It's a great pattern and produces a beautiful sweater. Let me know it I can help more. Blessings!❤️

You may have already found your lost stitch on your mitt, but if not, perhaps you accidentally knit two stitches together. I have done that in the past on a sock, at least once or twice. I appreciate your scriptural addition to your podcast. Gods blessings to you and your family 🙏🏻

I was just gearing myself up to tackle them, so your suggestion comes at a very good time.☺️ I plan to unravel a few rows to see if I can recover the stitch; if there’re two stitched together, I should be able to find it. Hello Rhonda, I liked this video very much. My name is Biggi (comes from Brigitte), I live in Vienna/Austria and I'm a believer too. And I also run a knitting-podcast where I speak about christian themes and the bible. It's called "knitandshine" but it's in German. I understand the English podcasts pretty well but my active vocabulary an my fluent speaking are not so strong. Here in Austria many people call themselves Christians, but there are very little really born-again ones. So I hope that my channel , which is also seen in Germany and Switzerland can bring them Jesus and His gospel a little closer. Have a wonderful, merry Christmas! Biggi

I don’t know. But it was mentioned numerous times in our studies that Esther was the only book in the canon that doesn’t ever mention God. I did look thru Song of Solomon and didn’t see God mentioned, so I’m not sure. Thanks for your kind words about the knitting projects.
