Don't worry what people think Justus. When I see kids shopping at my local stores, I don't think, "Hmm, what's in their buggy?" I think, "Wow, I love that they're trustworthy and mature enough that they get to help their parents/grandparents/whomever they're helping shop for!

I missed out on a lot of life by being a teenager who worried what everyone was thinking of me. When I grew up I figured out that no one was thinking much of anything after all. Just because someone glanced my way or even stared didn't mean they were judging me. Plus, if they are thinking something...it doesn't matter what anyone thinks. Every person that walks past you will probably be someone that you will never see again. Besides real life isn't the internet and it's on the internet where people judge and have no filter these days. Live your life 💜

If he has speech issue feel free get outside service that free!! My son got speech therapy from age 18 months to 12 yrs old. The speech therapist really help with those tough sounds. He could also do group speech therapy other kids his age and that helps.

We parents should count the cost of the WHY of participating in speech therapy. If it improves the child's ability to be understood and communicate well with others, if it increases their self esteem and confidence so they are not shy or insecure to try to speak to or with others, if it is to correct any physical problem that could impede an otherwise eloquent future... Then speech therapy is needed. If it is to stop pestering opinions of others or puts a strain on the child emotionally, like what!?!, There's something "wrong" with me? The focus could actually make the child self conscious and double guess did I say that right or wrong? Am I gonna be quiet so people quit picking on me and asking me what I said? How I said it? Etc. My point to this long comment is speech therapy is a good tool if the parent, child and therapist can work hard and long together to achieve phonetic sounds correctly and as a result, build the child's confidence and intelligibility. (Parent of 2 children who had years of speech therapy due to birth tight skin between front teeth to lip and gum development). Tom, don't dismiss treatment but it has to be you and your child in agreement with a trained professional to do the hard work to overcome "habit" thx for reading.

I remember when our eldest two boys who were 10 and 11 at the time (now 38 and 39 wow where’s the time gone) were helping me with the monthly shop. I went round with our youngest son and they were going round with their cart and list. Part way into shopping they came to me to say that a man was watching and following them. I went up to him and asked him why he was doing that. He was the supermarket security and had never seen such young boys shopping on their own. I explained to him that they were helping me and learning the value of shopping frugally plus using their maths and decision making. I asked him had they been misbehaving in any way which he confirmed they hadn’t. He then proceeded to tell our boys that he wished more children would do this and they should be proud of themselves. All sons have grown up frugal and know the value of money plus how to shop and and stretch a £. All children should be taught these basic life lessons. I know their wives were extremely thankful. Also for the fact they all knew how to cook and keep house. Sorry this was so long.

Those Ghirardelli choc chips are the BEST! The others are cheap and have lots of wax in them... Ghirardelli are the only ones I ever buy. YUMMY and so worth the price. Fun video!! Blessings....

I have a son like Solly. He was a real thinker & a perfectionist. It paid off in his teens when he became the Master of Ceremonies at our church. It put his perfectionist personality to good use!!! Now he works as an IT worker without any formal schooling. He refused to attend college. He was tired of correcting his teachers in H.S. I had to place him in outside classes from the H.S. Greek & Great Books classes were an excellent challenge which he took from teachers in our community that only teach homeschoolers. So what you might be in for in your future! 😜
