As a general rule, I don't condone leaving one's kids behind, no matter how "unfilled" someone feels. Lucky for Sean and Daniel that Esteban stuck around. If it's ok for Karen to just up and leave, why wouldn't it then be the same for Esteban? Because Karen did it first? Nah, having kids is a commitment one must be willing to see through if one does end up having any, which is also why it's so important that _everyone_ must be allowed the choice of *not* having any, whether by abstinence or by abortion. "I thought I wanted kids, but now that I have them I'd actually rather just abandon them" is not okay. The kids should not be punished for the choices their parents did. Karen gets no sympathy from me.

I agree for the most part. Especially with a lovely woman like Karen in this game. But there are also parents who are nasty human beings, and some of them should realize they suck as parents.Their kids would be better off in foster care. That way, both would have a chance at being happy. Yes, there will always be a void that can't be filled, at least for the kids, maybe for both, but man, growing up in a toxic, abusive home is something scarring for life.

@@LIZZgame I don't think it's a binary choice between abandoning a kid "for their protection" or abusing them because the parent is bitter and vindictive. I'm not condoning abuse either, I'm saying those two _cannot_ be the only options. And they weren't for Karen, either. Maybe it would've been better if Karen had taken up a role kind of like many dads (and some moms) do who, say, work in the army, or on oil rigs, and come home only occasionally. Not ideal, but leagues better than either of the options in that binary choice. But kids are a responsibility that makes you a shitty person if you later decide "nah, fuck them".

hey lizz really enjoyed this part of the playthrough love how you didn't trust the trucker the game make think worst outcome and not to trust the whole mum and son section must have pulled on your emotions a bit with you going through it your self :( im glad you come out on the other side i have seen friends go through it when we was kids thank you for you great content :) going to watch next part now

Love this chapter hate the part where Sean's dreaming he's with his dad in the car my dad passed away new years eve 2019 from cancer and I remember having dreams just like that driving around, fishing, camping or just watching a movie then you wake up and just feel worse still happens on occasion
