To quote the man himself "it's really nice this". Such an epic lakes rides, great riding. Those views are incredible and well worth the hike up!

Love your videos, always very useful stuff! Just a bit of a tip. Get some Carbonne Lorraine (CL) brake pads. They have been the quietest I have ever used and the feel is incredible. You can feel the difference!

Hearing brakes I think 💭 No wonder Scotland chose the sound of bagpipes to keep the enemy at bay ! But the bonus is when the brakes are howling the weather is crap and you get the place to yourself!! Thanks again for another great option to ride .👌
@TrailFinder3 жыл бұрын
Cheers Mitch. Yeah brake noise is all part and parcel of riding in those conditions. Let me know with as much notice as you can when your up next. And we will try and get out for a ride mate

Another great video. I'm impressed at the steep bits still looking steep on camera. They usually get flattened out on videos.

My 2 camera set ups (go pro max and hero 9 with max lens mod) really show the steepness with the very wide lens.

Nice Vid Andy - I May do this route in August instead of Grizedale which I did last year. In wet cold weather I use FOG OFF on the inside of my glasses and RAIN X on the outside which both are a godsend mate.

Fantastic video mate, clappersgate is awesome isn't it? very technical and a great feeling getting down it haha, you will clear that next time you go now you know what's coming up, footage turned out really well given the conditions, spot on mate, loved it 👍

Great video as always. Thanks for sharing. What riding gear do you wear to stay relatively warm and dry in conditions like this?
@TrailFinder3 жыл бұрын
Base layer mid layer. Then enjura mt500 jacket. Bottom half enjura mt500 trousers and the fantastic new waterproof 5/10 shoes

@@TrailFinder brill thanks. I was thinking about getting those GTX gore tex five tens. Will grab a pair now. I’ve read they run a bit small so best to size or half-size up. Have you found that at all?
@TrailFinder3 жыл бұрын
@@Strengthoftenmen I’m usually a size 9. I got a 9.5. They fit perfect. But on this ride I had some really thick water proof sealskin socks on. Although it wasn’t uncomfortable I did think to my self. Wish I had bought a 10!! But to be honest. I think you can get away with just normal socks with these shoes.

@Stopadoodledoo3 жыл бұрын
Will definitely be organising another group ride in early 2022, just got to decide where. It definitely won’t be a trail centre that’s for sure. Would love to do one around Worlds End near Degla but it might be controversial to take a big group around there (all footpath - naughty Jason 😂) and some sections are a bit hairy so not suited to a group ride where you don’t know the ability of everyone who may turn up; last thing you want is people not enjoying themselves. Macc Forest with cheeky trail options is a thought, as they start and finish at the same place as the main bridleway descent
@shannonmtb3 жыл бұрын
@@Stopadoodledoo I've got that route saved from you and gonna give it a go 👌
@likeris22 жыл бұрын
why you chose this bike over other ones? can you do video about your reasons behind it?
@TrailFinder2 жыл бұрын
I won’t be doing a video sorry. But the reasons for the bike is. I wanted one that climbed as well as descended. A bike that’s as happy doing an XC ride as it is hitting gnarly downhill tracks. A few bikes ticked those boxes. Yeti sb150. Yeti sb130. Santa Cruz Hightower. And the ripmo. It then just went on reviews. The ripmo came out on top. I made the right choice. It’s a pleasure to ride

Fantastic video mate, from what was a fantastic day. You can tell it was a blinding one as none of us moaned about the weather (other than the wind in our eyes). Always love seeing a different angle on the ride compared to my video, we both concentrated on different elements in places. Oh, and you could have done the tricky bit below the tarn, I have faith in your riding skills. It was wet but not actually that slippery 🙂
