Hey Andy love the video it’s so good when you recognise bits you’ve rode before. I did the bit just by the grass climb the other way with my dad and Alfie in November.

@18m43 " and there is the top of Ingleborough" but what I saw was the top of a beautiful stone cairn 😉 made me chuckle 🤭 but what a ride with some real elevation 💪 I'm looking forward to your next vid 👍

Top effort Andy, i've got a week in Kettlewell booked for July - coming up from deepest, darkest, Devon and am using your rides to plan my rideouts.

Hi Andy - Did your Settle - Pen-Y-Ghent loop recently, absolutely loved it, can't wait to go back and do it again. FYI & others doing the loop there's a great cafe in Feizor well worth the very slight detour. Did John have much left in the battery at the end?
@TrailFinder2 жыл бұрын
John loved it that much he is doing it again tomorrow. He rides in eco only. Think he had around 40% left

Hi Andy, great video as usual, we are coming up to the Windermere for a week on the 20th of this month & I would & we are going to do Gisburn on the way up & Whinlatter & Grizedale while we are there, we would like to do a couple of quite big XC ride locally & would really appreciate which ones you think would be best, I can’t decide as all of your loops look good.

3 of my fav Xc type rides on the lakes. Are the Ambleside ride. Coniston water ride. And the borrowdale bash. All 3 outstanding.
@scottbrowning55532 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I will watch them again & make a decision, swaying to the Ambleside one tbh.👍

Definitely still trying to adjust to 29ers myself after running the 27.5+ geniuses fir so long. Fortunately, the 170mm suspension is helping compensate for difference in ride quality. Haven't given the 2.6 a try yet, but plan to sometime
@TrailFinder2 жыл бұрын
They are great. It actually feels and performs like my old 710+ now. Which was a very fast bike in rough terrain.
@neilbower1232 жыл бұрын
I've got 2.5 tires on my bike & run Vittoria airline insert in the rear, meaning I can run really low pressures, which gives so much crib for climbing, especially on Yorkshire limestone. Highly recommended
@TrailFinder2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip. Do the inserts add Much weight ?
@neilbower1232 жыл бұрын
@@TrailFinder I have to be honest with you, I'm on a a eMTB so weight really isn't a problem, but I really like running low pressures as I ride mainly in Lakes & Dales & as you know, it can get very wet, so I look for max grip wherever I can get it. I'm more of en enthusiastic idiot than a solid technical MTBer, & I get more confidence this way
@Bakerboy01234567892 жыл бұрын
We run rimpact inserts - cheap /light and effective - would recommend
@adamwharmby48642 жыл бұрын
Love watching ur rides great channel have u ever thought about getting an ebike
@TrailFinder2 жыл бұрын
No. It would take away my enjoyment. Love the challenge and reward of climbing and clearing a climb on a bike. Not an ebike hater. Just not for me at the moment.

Great ride Andy. Just out of curiosity, did John`s battery last for the full ride and what mode did he use? We are heading up to the Dales in July and cannot wait to try some of your XC rides.

Battery life on johns trek is great. He had it in eco the whole ride. And got back to the van with 40% left

Hate tyres must have about 8 pairs of them, had a go on someones bike with 2.60 front and rear now im wanting to swap my enduro over again lol running 2.50 x 2.40 on it at the minute and the grip/stability is really noticable now ffs
@TrailFinder2 жыл бұрын
😂😂 same. Got so many tyres. 2.6 is amazing. After this ride I’ve dropped to 15 front and 18 rear and it’s great. Grip climbing and descending is outstanding. Have actually put a magic Mary on the front since this vid (2.6) it’s brilliant.
