A farewell to the class 465

To clear things up: They’re not completely going, only 20% of Southeastern’s networker stock are being replaced by their new-ish Class 707 which they purchased from South Western Railway in 2020 (I may be wrong with 2020). It is to make way for the 150 total carriages of 707 because Southeastern don’t have enough sidings / depot spaces to store both at once.

The class 465/2-9’s are getting replaced and class 465/0-1 are staying in service!

465 Networkers were here since 1991 use to be running on network south east being used for normal passenger services when south eastern was made we had connex versions now we have these version, These trains are old now its their time to leave sadly, BUT They are not going to be scrapped or removed they are still going to be in passenger service on the charing cross line and more even if we may have the new city beam trains they will still stay its not their time to leave yet

Uhhh if they are fully going why have no replacements been thought of for them on the bexlyheath line (my local line) unless they are gonna close all the stations of the bexlyheath heath line and give it to themeslink wich I doubt or reduces services to twice a week using the 376s or maybe replace it with what it replaced’s predecessor the 4DD (britains only double decker train)

Well they’re not COMPLETELY going, just about 20% of the Networker stock are being replaced by the Class 707 that Southeastern not-so-recently purchased from South Western Railway. Reason they’re scrapping is because they simply don’t have enough depot / siding space to store both the 465s, 466s and the 150 carriages of the new 707 stock they have. Hope this clears things up.
