Been rocking an igneous with rapid hit/precision instrument & moving target for just about 2k kills. Just gonna swap from MT to PI once the patch drops.

It's so dumb that bungie's solution to 120s being strong is to make high resilience the only counter and to make titans even stronger because of resilience gating. it's genius

CoolGuy made a video talking about resilience checks once the new update drops. Most weapons are actually losing their high resilience ttk checks. 120s are one of the only examples of a new resilience check. Still though, I would like to see health get standardized and resil be shifted more toward flinch resistance

@@FraDestinyno. Resilience should always be tied to health. It’s the class differentiator. Complaining titans are harder to kill because of high resilience is similar to complaining how hunters have faster strafe speed. They should normalize strafe speed and just have mobility improve walk and crotch speeds. Sounds ridiculous. But hunters love their speed to the point they complained about the stompee nerf.

@@prettysoIdier Resilience influencing health leads to inconsistent gun fight experiences. Bungie is clearly aware of this as they are removing most of the resilience checks in the new update. Watch CoolGuys video on resilience in the new update

@@FraDestiny​​⁠in fully aware of the resilience check changes due to health changes but more importantly due to changes in the body shot damage nerf. Inconsistent gun fights is your citation for grievance is warranted but you can say inconsistency when a hunter jumps and their max height changes with mobility, strafe ADS speed is inconsistent because they peeked faster than the normal and got a shot off before you. Inconsistent cooldown where you try and time the opponent and push after they use an ability but don’t account for any builds where they get their ability back. The variation of health is part of the game, health has been this way since vanilla D1 when titans can spec their skill tree for 11 armor and 201 health. Titans will be more tankier by namesake, and since it’s tied to barricade cooldown, why wouldn’t a titan run 100 resilience.

​@@prettysoIdierAs a Warlock main, I'd like to hear your take on Recovery being tied to health regen then. We have by far the best way of tying our class stat into PvP efficiency, but I'd still argue all 3 classes shouldn't have to deal with resilience gating being a titan thing, and I'd be willing to have Bungie standardize health regen more to balance it out more as well.

2-tapping aside, i think 120's will still be a really strong option since team shooting will become even more effective, with the lack of grenades or cloudstrike to counter hand-holding

Yeah I’m over exaggerating their downfall with the title of the vid and the thumbnail. I do think 140s are going to increase in usage as a result of these changes but we’ll see

I think crit crit body or crit body crit work. It can’t do body crit crit though. The first one HAS to be a crit

Doesn't the left-bending Deterministic Recoil bother you? I think it should be way less horizontal the higher the stat. Otherwise what's the point of building into it with barrels?

You should keep it at either 100 or 95 and never change it so you learn the recoil pattern and get better with it over time.

Precision instrument will allow Igneous to 2 crit 1 body still at any recil, get to grinding in trials.

They will need a 3 tap headshot from like tier 7 or 8 resilience and up. Mid to low resiliences will still die to a 2 headshot 1 body. And precision instrument bypasses the resilience check altogether.

I have my jump button bound to my scroll wheel. So when I scroll my mouse it rapidly boosts and when you do it on uphill surfaces it can launch you.

I wouldn’t get too excited. Precision instrument bypasses the resilience check and allows 120s to 2 headshot 1 body. They are still going to be very good. You’ll most likely just see more 140s being used

Considering how much bungie struggles to balance matches, having matches last longer is just going to draw out bad matchups for even longer and people we’ll be even more likely to leave. Rumble matches are pretty fast and people still leave them constantly. The same issue exists in 6v6. We just need more players playing crucible to speed up queue times.

@@FraDestiny i get your point, but coming back to destiny after year and crucible feels even worse. Maps feel dead in PvP now. Back then it used to be chaos in casual modes.

Good I played 120s/dmt meta in stasis era, didn't touch the game by long time but I still watch news about it here and there, maybe the will fix PvP in destiny 3 copium xD

The original 120 meta was crazy with how easy two taps were to get. They are making some interesting changes in March but it mostly feels like they are moving back toward d2 year 1 meta which was a really boring era imo.

Yeah 180s have been completely forgotten at this point. In my opinion, they should have the same range scalar as 120s considering they kill at the same speed and require more shots to hit. And they have low base range stats so right now they feel like a close quarters weapon that sucks in close quarters.

I know. You’ll basically need a damage perk of some kind to guarantee a 2 head 1 body kill in the new update which hurts perks like opening shot, eye of the storm, and others that occupy the same perk column as all the damage perks.

@@bigmacmc3298 Precision instrument is on my igneous god roll and I haven’t taken it off since I got it. It’s amazing for killing players with over shields from barricades and rifts. However, even that aspect of it is taking a hit. I don’t think it will 3 tap a Titan with an over shield anymore.

Yeah they will. I just wanted to get some gameplay of them 2 tapping and still having that extra level of forgiveness that they are losing.

Honestly, it’s kinda hard to say they’ll be fine. The slowest ttk weapon in the game that’s already the most unforgiving for missed shots will now also become more unforgiving. The way I see it, this will only promote the more passive, long-distance playstyles with teamshooting. I can’t imagine many people using them for dueling in the future unless they have Precision Instrument.

It will require you to be more skilled with it, while 140s will continue to kill the same way they used to. I think 120s will still be good but 140s will probably rise up in usage a bit

I have my jump button bound to my scroll wheel on my mouse. So I can scroll up and boost rapidly. It’s not something you can do on controller

@@tortelinilecker It should work if you have the ability to bind the jump button to the scroll wheel. But, hopefully you will get banned for cheating before you can use it a lot

I don’t think you understand how bad the meta can get when handcannons aren’t in it. The other weapons in this game like smgs, pulses, and bows are significantly less fun to fight against. They also operate in ranges that are annoying to fight in

I’m aware of precision instrument bypassing the resilience check. Still, you have to run a perk that you didn’t need to before just to kill in 2 headshots and 1 body
