I'm not Australian (I 'm British) but I've been following your vlog for a while and find it very interesting. This blog specially has resonance for me, as like you I am gay, but unlike you I have been able to get married and I hope you will soon have the same rights there that so many countries have introduced in recent years. If even Ireland, in its recent referendum, can vote for right and equality and justice, despite being a traditionally Catholic country, then I hope Australia can too. Good luck 🤞👍😂🌈❤️

I cant believe you are single. I just finished watching you come out on Big Brother and started watching all the videos about you. You are amazing....and incredibly handsome. What a catch. I cant believe you don't have security to keep all the creepers off ya. Wish I would find soomeone exactly like you. 👀someone you want to better yourself for and someone you want to care for,look after and build them up. Cheers to us both finding that!!!!!!

I always thought Yes to gay marriage was a no brainer - basic issue of equality. I think There are good arguments both for and against it, IMO. But poltics doesn't occur in a vacuum. But now that I have heard both sides of the argument, there are some things that stand out: 1) Gay couples already have legal marriage equality - called civil unions. Apparently they function exactly the same. BUT Gay couples feel they don't have the same social status & recognition, including overseas (which is fare enough). 2) The Activist issue: I get the sense with SJW, that "you give them an inch, they'll take a mile". If there is a Yes No, I don't want it to be used to crack down on freedom to express an opinion, as Activists have attempted to do, to SUPPRESS opinions, rather than disagree (Archbishop in Hobart). 3) Rewarding bad behaviourh I observe that Yes No Campaigners have (excluding small minorities), behaved measurably worse than No Voters, for the sake of a good cause. No Voters generally have often been very restrained & respectful in the face of abuse when they go out to do a protest. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, Google it - & it includes whole protest groups). Journalists & Activists. 4) I grew up without a father a lot of the time - & I think it was a negative thing. Even heterosexual couples try to respect this when they break up. Recently I bumped into a Lesbian couple with a baby son. They can already "marry" & have children. Which I support, as that's equality. But I think children's needs are above an adults. To many, Marriage is also an ideal about what is good for children. I think at least there should be a statement or legal rights meaning that a child can have both natural parents, or some kind of same gender parent. I don't know what real gay couples do in practice about this, but when I googled it, some Activists seemed to think it was fine for me to grow up without a dad a lot of the time. I don't think it was. Some heterosexual couples can't help it, but they tend not to do it deliberately. And (same with Gay couples), they can find other same-gender parents. 5) BUT since Gay Couples do have children deliberately, AND can adopt unwanted children, that is a huge positive for society and the unwanted children. I think that is one of the strongest Yes Vote arguments. Yet....in practice, will most gays be as selfish as Hetros who can't conceive, and use IVF instead of save a would be aborted baby or unwanted child.

Are you Dave from Big Brother? OK Googled you Seems you are. You've aged ofcourse but your smile is the same. I was never really a BB fan beyond the first 2 seasons or so. But an Aussie 'ocker' farmer who happened to be gay? That I remember. I probably watched that season just to look at you. It's actually fun to see this now.....you're 'all grown up'. Not sure how you can be single though.

I realize this is an old video, but I wonder if I might ask how those boys in boarding school knew you were gay. Did you say or do something to out yourself? You don't seem to fit any gay stereotype now, but did you back then? Excellent statement on the postal vote, btw.

Gay people have been able to get "married" for a long time now so your argument is empty sorry. If you love someone you can bind yourself to them in a civil union... no one kills gays anymore so stop using that as an excuse.
@aliceunderground16206 жыл бұрын
Antoinette that's actually untrue, they can't have a civil marriage, only a defacto relationship.
@usmcvet78_546 жыл бұрын
"no one kills gays anymore so stop using that as an excuse" Do you even HEAR yourself? DUMBASS BIGOT!
@antoinette1526 жыл бұрын
Equal rights under the law DOES NOT mean you have to re-define marriage. Just add whatever it is you think you are missing to the existing law that governs same sex unions. This bull "oh woe is me, I have had to hide in the closet" crap is outdated and cannot be used as an excuse anymore. Many people experience bullying and discrimination and not just gays. Stop feeling sorry for yourselves.
@usmcvet78_546 жыл бұрын
You just proved how IGNORANT you are regarding this issue! Either educate yourself or SHUT THE FUCK UP!
