A fast and windy ride up the to monument and through the woods / Ride with me / Equestrian VLOG

Join Nelly and me for a very fun, albeit seriously windy ride up to the monument and through the woods. This was the fastest ride we have done so far this year and I think she thoroughly enjoyed it, and I certainly did. It's so nice to have a horse back up to fast ride' fitness, now we just need to get Woody there ... and get Blue back into work.
Apologies for the failed gallop footage towards the end ... combination of light seat + going up hill + Nelly trying to drift off + wind pushing us around = shocking footage 🤣 I'm starting to feel like I need multiple go-pro's in different places all running at once to get consistent decent angles at this point 🤦‍♀️😂 But hey ho!

Hahaha it's true though 😂 she literally just runs at them and expects them to move! Great warhorse, she'd run anything down ... Awful showjumper, coz she just runs anything down 😆 In fairness though she can jump, but it takes a bit of practice to get her to understand the task 😂

WOW, the wind! It's really strong. What a lovely trail =) And Nelly is so lovely! If your dog runs after or approach horses, keep them in a leash! OMG. Nelly really loves being out

So strong!!! Oh goodness I know, I hate to be 'that person' but I really do think dogs should be kept on leads when out in public, unless they actually recall. Like, proper recall. Which very few can do. I mean, if I let Nelly loose up there I'd never hear the end of it, but it's ok for dogs to run loose and chase people / other animals 🤷 sigh I was half expecting her to bite it on the head tbh 😂

She is getting fitter, it's really noticeable in her canter work now which is lovely ❤️ haha ... Yeeeah Nelly and poles doesn't always end well 😂
