the robots are better: one scout kills 100 with just a drink and some billets robots are cheap: they run on more money then it whould cost them to run on oil better in everyway: run straight into planned traps with meelee weapons seems legit? no? ok then, get me those robots!

What do you mean? The original owner of Mann Co. and Mann Gravel Co., Zephinia Mann was dying, but he didnt trust his sons with his company. So, he gave his main company to Mr. Hale (Saxton's father), who was his father's most trusted friend. To get back at his sons, Redmond and Blutarch, for never accomplishing anything in his life, he gave them half of Mann Gravel Co. (a company he thought was useless) to fight over. However, unbeknownst to him, the minerals found in the gravel of the American badlands are vital to making asphalt and concrete, meaning that if either brother got control, they'd rich due to their monopoly on those minerals. So, they both hired mercenaries (not the 9 playable characters) to try to forcibly take the land. This results in a stalemate, so Blutarch tries to claim the land by simply outlasting his brother, by having Radigan Conagher build him a device that can extend his life. Radigan goes home, and begins work, only to find a woman named Helen (who we later learn is the administrator) inside his workshop. She requests that Radigan create one for Redmond, as well as a third one for herself, in turn for knowledge about a material that could power the device. Radigan makes the three devices, and gives them to Redmond, Blutarch, and the administrator, causing them all to live indefinitely. After a while, the mercs from Team Fortress Classic are hired, with the Engineer being the son of Radigan. More time passes, and the TF2 mercs are finally hired by the Mann brothers, and Saxton Hale runs Mann Co. Dell Conagher, the Engineer, is requested by Blutarch to upgrade the life extension machine, since his current one is breaking down, and the same song and dance Radigan went through happens to Dell. He ends up doing additional work with the Administrator, though we dont see this is happening until later. Eventually, there comes to light knowledge that there was a third Mann brother known as Gray Mann, who was abandoned by Zephinia because he was smart enough to speak immediately after birth, and this was creepy enough to have him defenestrated. Gray Mann returns with a vengeance, and kills both Redmond and Blutarch, stealing their life extension machines in the process. Having taken control of Mann Gravel Co., the mercs are out of a job, like we see here. Since Gray Mann has set his sights on Mann Co., Saxton hires the mercs to fight against the superior forces of Gray. Reaching another stalemate, Gray comes to negotiate with Saxton, taking advantage of the Mann Co. Challenge, which states that if you can beat the CEO in a fight, you get the company. With no way to actually beat Hale in a fight, Gray tells his daughter to fight him, and due to his own moral compass, Hale refuses to punch the child. Now out of a job again, the mercs return to their normal lives for six months, excluding Engineer (who's working for the Administrator) and Medic (working with Team Fortress Classic). Eventually, the Administrator calls on Mrs. Pauling to reassemble the team to find more Austrailium, a resource unique to Australia that gave immense strength to Australians. This is because Austrailium is the same resource used in the life extension devices, and the Administrator needs to finish something that she hasn't told anyone. On the way to the last cache of Austrailium, they find out that Sniper was actually born in New Zealand, and that his father accidentally launched him into Australia in a failed rocket. He is currently building a new rocket, coated in Austrailium (he didnt know about what it actually did), making the attempt to retrieve the Australium futile. On their way to escape, they run into the Team Fortress Classic team (and Medic), who were hired by Gray to kill the TF2 mercs and get the Austrailium. They shoot and kill Sniper, and take the others in for interrogation on the whereabouts of the Austrailium. Soldier gives away that Ms. Pauling knows where it is, and she is promptly asked by the TFC Spy (who's disguised as heavy) where to meet the Administrator. He manages to get the word out, however ends up being killed afterwards. After Medic revives Sniper and turns back to the side of the TF2 team, every one of the TFC mercs are killed except for the Heavy (who kills Gray). Some fighting, death, and deals with the devil later, and all of the TFC crew is dead, along with Gray, so they all go back to meet the Administrator. Before they're back, the Administrator uses the rest of her Austrailium to power her machine at maximum strength, giving her 1 hour to live. After all of this time, she reveals that she's been trying to settle some old debt, and that's where the story ends for now. If Valve releases Mann Co. No More #7 we might get a conclusion, but for now that's all. I doubt see how any of that was illogical, though.

Gray ain't in control of neither RED or BLU. if he were that'd be implying he would have automatically hired the mercs for him. He's only interested in Mann Co. (Redmond and Blutarch were fighting for useless gravel anyway xD). The Administrator, as far as I know, was never inclined to either RED or BLU, but rather to Mann Co. as well, so of course she'd be interested on helping the mercs. Long story short, she's still busy shouting at them while they are fighting. xD
