Update for the stream sniper: He continued to try and reach level 60 by having other players run him through Scarlet Monastery a few times but ended up wiping and dying at level 43, the debuff still grinning back at him until his character died. That is a humiliation he will never live down!

Not really... you should see Marm, Hydra, Despondency, Homer, Raiku, Flyn, Fnoberz, Drainerx, Mirlol, Ziqo, Zage, Jpeg, Zki, Mdma, Imahacker, Mystic, Azk, Kosticka, Hulkpass and many others on Arena Tournament and the shit they did... They literally invented 90% of the 2v2/3v3 strategies. The rule was NOT: "until i use a quest item to sleep my opponent outside of the dueling zone". So... the other guy "deserved" a 3 days long debuff, because Ziqo break his own rule? How long would it take to get to level 30+ anyway? That's not even the hard part... Ziqo should delete this character. He lost the duel. I'm not even sure that the Paladin had any chance of winning this fight, despite all the buffs, but that doesn't matter. We all know that Ziqo knew exactly what he was doing... so the problem remains the same: it should've been a duel until death. He didn't deliver on his own promise. So who was actually "prepared" here? Ziqo with the Slumber Sand quest item... What's the point of accepting "duels until death" if you don't deliver on your promise, but sneakily have a quest item in your inventory directly to counter someone who is stronger than you?

I'm French, I went to check out the stream to see what he was saying after it happened, here's the gist of it: He stated that according to blizzard the coward debuff shouldn't happen, called ziqo cringe a few times, that he was winning and he was going to appeal it and that a GM would remove the debuff, he then said that ziqo shouldn't request death matches if he's just going to run away. I know classic well, I started playing it in 2005. The buffs are worht 100g, so even if he or one of his minions grinded them, they are still worth that much and he is using them (they are consumables obv) just for a duel to make it extremely unfair.

I mean, it is an exploit. Not intended mechanics. And this guy accepted the mak gora, and then didn't want to accept the results so he cheesed the mechanic so that he could run away, but not get the debuff... that is basically cheating. He could have just run away himself. and then all the mechanics would have worked as intended. Nothing was keeping him from running away from a mak gora he agreed to. All is fair in mak gora, except exploiting.

@trumpisthemessiah7017 by that rationale bubble hearth or diamond flask healing is an exploit. The fact is, this paladin could've avoided it by not running 10 yards out of bounds. Unfortunately his smooth brain didn't figure it out soon enough, but he could've easily avoided it, hence it was entirely fair for the situation. Outsmarting your opponent should be the "intended mechanic".

because Ziqo is the one who started the duel and then proceeds to be like "WTF THIS GUY I WANTED TO DUEL TO THE DEATH HAS BUFFS!?!?!?!?!?!" and then gets him coward debuff by ccing him outside of the duel zone. im more surprised people are on Ziqo's side. love him as a streamer but you don't duel someone to the death and then get to be surprised when they have buffs. really glad this guy got coward debuff removed.

It's top notch but I feel like the sniper was just bad and failed. Could've saved trinket and/or bubble and at least forced Ziqo to forfeit. Definitely seen even better boss fights than this, granted not in HC but no character died here either. At lvl 60/70 you have access to even more consumables, there's an engineering belt that can absorb 5k damage, you get even more scuffed and interactive PVP boss fights than this.
