@@MorenikejiTaiwo no sadly Karen Carpenter seemingly suffered from a poor self image among other issues in her life that led her into the disorder 'anorexia nervosa' and she died of heart failure due to complications from that conditon, she was only 32. She was lovely and blessed with that beautiful 3 octave vocal range but she did not know how much the world loved her, sad indeed.

Their harmonies were always so beautiful and perfect because Karen and Richard Carpenter sang their own back-up vocals/harmonies. Very unusual at that time. Richard was a genius at "arranging" music. Karen is always stunning with her perfect pitch, breath control and contralto voice.

It's so soft and so strong and yet sad and happy at the same time and that the voice is just something that is so far advanced that it just puts you in another realm of beauty and in love with her voice.
