I began this audiobook project some years ago when some friends of mine jokingly said they'd read A Song of Ice and Fire (my favorite fantasy series) if I personally recorded the whole series in audiobook form and sent it to them. Having now made my way almost through the first two books in the series, I decided to join the small community of people who post their own amateur audibook readings to youtube, and share my efforts.
I have no intention of profiting off of the work that is copyrighted to George RR Martin. This upload is a tribute to a series I deeply love, and I strongly encourage you to purchase these books. You won't regret it.

Love how some of this plays out. Like remember how when Tyrion was at the wall and he was going through it with Ser Alliser (even tells the Nightswatch leadership they’re messing up huge by having him as master at arms, and defeats Ser alliser with words and in the duel with the crab fork 😂😭😂😭😂). Then they ask Tyrion to try to get king Robert or Tywin or The queen to give concern for what’s going on with the wall and beyond (or something to that affect). It’s kinda funny bcuz Tyrion actually ends up becoming hand of the king as we know afterwards and also Lord Mormont had ended up sending Ser Alliser to kings landing court with the rotting hand 😂😂😂😭. And ironically Tyrion is in charge and doesn’t want to fw Ser Alliser lol. It’s so ironic, on so many levels 😂 (Shoutout Tyrion too for still finding a way to help)

Petyr‘s conversations with Sansa always make my skin crawl, but especially the one at the end of this chapter. The way he praises her for figuring out his trick on Nestor Royce is such groomer behavior.

Ironically? In Sansa's head I've never felt less worried for her since Winterfell. Maybe it's just the safety of the Eyrie.

​@@juliancain3872Well, even Sansa feels unsure about Petyr. She is gaslighting herself throughout this whole chapter. Petyr is using her for his own selfish goals which should be obvious to the reader who has been familiar with him beforehand already. I wholeheartedly believe that Sansa's mission is to win where Ned failed, she already managed to survive King's Landing, now she needs to survive (and i suspect destroy) Littlefinger, the person who is probably most responsible for her father's death. Sansa is Ned's narrative successor in that way.

This chapter is brilliant, sansa is already starting to learn the principles of the game and the skills required to play, I see myself trying to puzzle out little fingers actions too and I wonder how much more confident and witty will sansa be at the end of this book

Holy shit Petyr is something else, master manipulator for sure. Him and Varys are 2 best side characters without any doubt... Though, it's weird how he's sharing all this to Sansa, isn't he worried that eventually Sansa would become good manipulator herself and start using him/lying to him? Sansa's probably his weakness so far... Also, the slippery slope of "kindly meant lie isn't bad," lol. I would really like if Sansa actually becomes top tier player herself, would be nice to see her grow from naive girl into Tyrion, Petyr, Varys level player. She's probably easiest to empathize with, most of us would be like Sansa if we were thrown in Westeros, all naive at first but slowly growing. Nice singing.

I love the subtlety of the chapter. At the beginning Sweetrobin says someone locked him in last night. At the end of the chapter it is revealed that Sansa locks him in every night so she can be alone. She is no longer a pawn, but a player!

I always thinking that Petyr was too good character to stay without nothing at the end. From my perspective characters like him have to fulfil their goals. Of course at the end he will get nothing, he’s the LeBron James of the game of thrones.

She lied and flexed her way to become Joffreys queen, ignoring truth and disregarding righteousness…she kinda asked for a lot of this. She betrayed Arya, her dad, her family…and she didn’t get the picture when lady got killed and when Joffrey still didn’t like her when she lied to help him (and didn’t even care that Micah, the butchers boy, was killed! She literally never even thinks about it, what a jerk!)She almost literally had her hand out asking for it. She gets lucky that little finger is obsessed with her. Period

She's learning a lot, she learned how to get prideful by Ned, to respect family from Cait, to put on a fake smile and fake pleases from Cersei, and now learning scheming and the true game of thrones from Petry. Wonderful character, and once she kills Petry (which is 100% going to happen), then she'll finally be free to play and not to be a pawn. I love her character, and she's slowly getting more and more dark. Unlike Arya who was always the wild wolf, Arya was not as trusting and was very rebellious,hence why she wasn't blinded by the Joff or Cersei.

@@pirateboyfearless the reason she was annoying at the beginning of the story is because character development exists. She was the naive one who thought life was a song, and her arc has been learning through a series of unfortunate events that life isn’t a song at all. There was a decent chunk of the fan base who hated Jaime at the beginning of his character arc, and where we are now he is a fan favorite. Joffrey was a psychopath who killed kittens for fun. Sansa is a confused girl who’s arc will, I suspect, make her into a capable political force within Westeros. If Sansa didn’t act stupid at the beginning of the book, there would be no room for improvement and, therefore, no arc.
