I began this audiobook project some years ago when some friends of mine jokingly said they'd read A Song of Ice and Fire (my favorite fantasy series) if I personally recorded the whole series in audiobook form and sent it to them. Having now made my way almost through the first two books in the series, I decided to join the small community of people who post their own amateur audibook readings to youtube, and share my efforts.
I have no intention of profiting off of the work that is copyrighted to George RR Martin. This upload is a tribute to a series I deeply love, and I strongly encourage you to purchase these books. You won't regret it.

I like GRRM using an idea from Cinderella. With Sansa losing a shoe, before Petyr pushed Lysa from the Moon Door, above the Gates of Moon where Myranda lives. Myranda seems aware that Alayne isn't Petyr's bastard, just by that funny question of 'How little is his finger?' She may even suspect her true identity, going by Petyr noting her having her mother's eyes. I'd be interested to know what eyes colour Robert Arryn has, apart from red and puffy. Baelish's grey green whould make Petyr as at least highly neglectful. Even potentially a kinslayer by sweetsleep.

Probably won’t answer your question but one thing about LF is all he really does is create chaos. He never really has a master plan or endgame and never really knows what reward he’ll get from the chaos he spreads until he’s actually in the situation.

@@Weeby_historian See I don't know if I agree... yes LF uses chaos... but that doesn't mean he doesn't necessarily have a plan. He is just more upfront about using chaos. Because Varys would claim that he doesn't like chaos... but he wants to create chaos to make way for Faegon. So I think PB does plan ahead and just uses the chaos in order to climb the ladder and advance himself.

What I’m saying is everyone playing the game of thrones is doing it for a reason which guides their decisions in the pursuit of that power making them somewhat predictable. Tywin wants to create a legacy for himself and his family which means he’ll plunge himself into a war to get back his son whom he hates even when it might not get him more power. Varys I’m fairly certain is trying to install a Blackfyre dynasty which means he helps Jaime free Tyrion and keeps it secret even when that might not be in his best interest. LF on the other hand I dont believe has those goals in mind. What he wants is to be with catelyn and that’s not gonna happen now. Because of this unlike the others theres really no point at which he can make himself be satisfied with what he’s gained. Even if he gets the Iron Throne and get’s Sansa to be his queen he will try to Conquer the free cities. Because All he really wants is Catelyn and he can’t have that.

Hmmmmmmmm interesting question! This varies depending on the state of my throat, how tired I am, whether I drank enough water, but in general old man voices like grand maester pycelle are the most taxing. It’s also surprisingly tiring to read Sansa and Cersei’s dialogue, trying to keep my speaking in the upper range of my voice without lots of voice cracking or making it sound overly cartoonish. Also doing a death metal growl for Ramsay Bolton can be tough, depending on how intense I’ve decided to do it.

Yes, but "epilepsy" is a term that covers all sorts of issues and illnesses and disorders, provided they cause siezures, so I don't think, even with our modern biomedical knowledge, we can do much to diagnose poor Sweetrobin beuyond "sickly."

How tf does Petyr knows so much about all the "pieces/players?" like was he learning about all the relevant "pieces" of Vale long before he went there? (He knew Lysa had crush on him, he planned to use that to get power in Vale, one day, so he got head start by learning about all of the pieces/players?) Littlefinger is already lord of Riverlands/Trident as he's lord of Harrenhal... So, Sansa and Harrold marrying will mean that those 2 will be his huge allies, as he made that match. So, he will have North and Vale as allies + Riverlands as a lord. But he won't be having North/Vale for himself though, is he doing all that just to get alliance? But then what? If Vale will never accept him as lord because of his low birth, how the fck will anyone accept him as king? (I assume his end goal must be Iron throne right? or maybe he just wants to have power, and keep growing it forever. Greedy for power, basically.) Oh, Sansa... her blurting out Jon snow like that, that girl already has suspicions for sure... I wonder if she uses that to blackmail Petyr/Sansa... I both love and am also significantly creeped out by this relationship of littlefinger and sansa. On the one hand, he is weirdly playing out some fantasy that he missed out on by taking sansa as his daughter. He wanted catlynn. if things had gone his way, sansa would bw his daughter. On the other hand, he is obviously attracted to her as he was catlynn when he was a young boy. Hes flirting with playing out another missed fantasy of his where sansa takes the place of catlynn as his lover. Sansa unfortunately is too naive and too trusting of littlefinger to notice. And lastly, the reason i LIKE this, is that peter baelish WOULD HAVE made a decent father for sansa if it all had played out differently. He is wise and cunning and ia teaching her his wisdom and how to play "the game". Sansa could have been as wise and cunning as margery tyrell had she been raised by littlefinger.

The Three Queens are implicitly explained by Petyr, but GRRM's masterful writing has Sansa miss the answer and thus mystifies readers too... 😂 After Sansa asks about the three queens, Petyr explains his plans to marry Sansa (only known living child of Eddard) to Harry (the heir); the logic suggests that if 'three queens' is the prompt and Sansa is the answer, then perhaps Queen in the North SANSA is the masterplan for Petyr Furthermore, he discusses Cersei just before and later he mentions the marriage has to "wait until CERSEI is done and Sansa's safely widowed"... so Cersei is definitely involved and thus Margaery is as well I THINK Petyr's three queens are Cersei and Margaery in a continued fued, then the rise of Sansa after Cersei falls - this would echo how there were never actually five crowned kings at once I find this quite intriguing as the stage seems to be set for many more queens that are in fact beyond Petyr's scope: Daenerys still has given no indication of sailing, Arianne seems to have designs on the new Aegon VI, Myrcella is likely to be crowned (by Cersei) after Tommen is killed (by the Martells), Asha explicitly aimed for a crown, even Barbrey Ryswell has accused Bolton of aiming for King of the North with his Frey Queen... and Theon says she can challenge that, but what could challenge a king other than another king... or QUEEN???? 😂😂😂😂 I doubt any of these are on Petyr's radar, as all require distant spies with accurate information AND stunning foresight - or a hand in the affairs - yet all his focus has been on King's Landing and Sansa

I think in broad strokes(emphasis on broad) the events of this plot line will happen similar to how it happened in the show. LF will reveal Sansa’s identity and try to claim the north in her name but Sansa will have learnt from him at this point and using those skills as well as her stark heritage and knowledge of the north will outmaneuver LF and become Lady of Winterfell

Robin is annoying, but nowhere near as hate-able as Joffrey and Ramsey (bastards in both the medieval and modern sense). Joffrey caused the War of Five Kings, was cruel to his subjects, and an incompetent ruler to boot. Ramsey is a monster who tortures people and makes a lady eat her own body parts. The worst thing Robin has done is (maybe) throw people through the moon door. And the threat to Tyrion’s life, thank the gods for keeping Bronn’s sword arm strong and true. (Only referring to events before this chapter, hopefully no spoilers)

Weakest chapter in Feast so far. The first half is entirely forgettable. Robert doesn’t want to leave bed. Sansa tries her best to get him out of bed. Finally they leave and go down the mountain. Half an hour towards the tail end of the book!!!

Sansa is a terrible character from the start…. I’ve watched the series I don’t know how many times, this is my 3rd time on the books, your reading is very good, but nothing can make Sansa interesting, I’d skip past her if littlefinger wasn’t in here weaving his web.

@comradestannis *cracks knucles, stretches neck, sets up power point.* I'm glad you asked. First, her character introduction was where it started. She was always a vain and greedy little girl, even when the rest of her family was constantly telling her she was in the wrong. She had a princess mentality from the start when she was living in the one region of the seven kingdoms where that mentality is discouraged by everyone. Second, she sided with the most hated character, Jofrey, who had attacked her sister and was threatening to murder her for no reason at all. Her decisions lead to the death of her dog, which she blamed aria for and not the little psychopath or his bitch of a mother. Third, in the coup, her actions lead to the whole thing being revealed to the bitch queen, which led to the death of her father. In the same time frame she had only one friend, jane poole, who she was annoyed with because she cried that her father was murdered, and sansa was happy when she was shipped off to be an unwilling whore because she didn't have to hear, her only friend, crying at the loss of her father. Forth, after all of that, she still stood by jofrey and actively worked against everyone trying to save her. In the end she didn't even find a way out or the will to resist and was kidnapped by littlefinger where she was whisked away to the north once again. I could go on, but I think I've made my point.

@@comradestannis she's planning on marrying the crown prince on the fact that she is pretty and he's hot. Can't get more vain than that. And I'm pretty there's a heafty amount of greed in wanting to be the queen, mostly based on the fact she wants to leave the north so she can live large in kings landing.
