A few moments from our weekend

When Dad’s working on the weekend, there’s a whole pack to help me look after the kids. Not just a few, about 16. 🤣🤣 And with 5 German Shepherds and a Rottweiler in there, it sometimes feels like I could just step out and all would be ok. Their parenting methods are very hands on and a little helicopter style, but the kids love it, no kid is ever left behind and there is always one standing beside them to take a fall.
All the dogs at the farm love the children. The puppies make beelines for them over us adults.
Banjo couldn’t choose between puppies and kids. Both are his favourite. At one point I wonder where he is, and low and behold he’s over by the puppy playground babysitting the puppies through the fence. Looking back to the house like, cmon over here and let me in there with them.
So we all go over to the puppy playground. The littlest shyest ones love Evie. They happily follow her skipping around. Evie is that kid that sings to herself about rainbows and unicorns, daydreaming always, and loves most especially the smallest of anything. So the littlest puppies and the shyest ones she obsesses over, and they return the adoration.
At dinner time, Maggie is learning more signs. Wait/hold and free. She’s doing really well. Another big lover of the children. She must have had a young family with little ones at one time.

Love & the right training made Freddo into a wonderful, protective (in the best way) family dog. It is just so sad that he had to wait so long for doggy happiness. On the other side of the coin, at least he will be able to live out his senior years blissfully happy.

I’m astounded by shadow’s progress, I was so anxious about her. I was unconvinced she could change & used to watch almost holding my breath with fear of what might happen. She looks like a different dog, her coat is silky & her face is soft with gentle eyes. Obviously Luke’s knowledge & experience was a huge factor in her rehabilitation but I’m still amazed watching her now.

Freddo is a true love bug. He just needed someone to trust. Now you couldn't ask for a better more well trained dog. I love watching him play with the kids, he's so gentle, especially around Wolfie. And Banjo is the puppies pillow for snuggling. What a good big brother❤️❤️

How hilarious to see Bailey or was it Barney drooling bubbles while Luke was serving the meal bowls. I love seeing the dinner ritual, and the special training the sweet Maggie is getting. The entire video made my heart sing. I get such joy from the Evans family-the children, Luke and Sam, and the bow-wows. Not long after following DDFT, I found myself thinking, there is something really special about Evie pre Wolfric. You’re description of her personality is beautifully stated. With that being said, Elle is unique in her own way and Wolfric is unique in his own way. It’s so refreshing to watch parents parenting their children in the manner in which they should be, free to develop into their own unique personalities. 🐾❤️🐾❤️

Watching Banjo going to check on his puppies was so cute. Miss Pink and Mr Red following Evie was so sweet. I don't think Enzo knows what to do about playing crocodile with Miss Violet. Shadow is so patient with the puppies. Sam has the best line ever, "Maybe just save the baby." Watching Enzo go over and making sure Miss Red and MIss Violet and Mr. Orange are playing nice is so sweet. Feeding time is fun to watch.

Love to see the children and dog interactions. I feel sorry for kids who were not raised with dogs/ animals. They teach us unconditional love, compassion, and forgiveness(when we accidentally step on their tails). They quickly forget any transgressions. We need to be more like them.

I can agree that you have about half a dozen helpers on kid-herding! They're so attentive. Banjo and the puppies racing at the fence was too cute. Of course you had to go play with them. Love how mellow Shadow is amongst the chaos of puppies and kids. She's so at peace. Maggie's doing so well, faster than I expected. Evie's going to be your opera/movie star, she's so happy in her own space - especially if that space is full of puppies. That's wonderful. Boy, look out when Wolf figures out how to shape those words - he's got a lot to say. I think those shepherds would turn themselves inside out if Elle wanted them to, lol. Great video!

Currently without a fur baby (in training for the disabled) 💕 Waiting for my next recruit to socialise. They are all so special. When they are with me they watch intently too while we both relax.

It is hilarious watching young Evie leading the stafy pups on their adventures. Banjo is such a wonderful nanny to all these pups. I realised something watching the puppies in the playground - another plus to the many pluses of adopting one of your beautiful foster puppies is they already climb stairs which is something most puppies don't know how to do.

It's so wonderful to watch the girls, dogs and puppies. Soon Wolfie will join that mix! I wonder which shepherd will take on that assignment?? They may have to make that shift work cause he is going to be a busy boy for sure! Loved Barney's Boxer bubbles!! Always love watching the Misses and their antics. It was great to see a shepherd run down and check on Miss V when she was knocked down playing with Miss R and the white puppy. As soon as it was clear all was well, back it came to the kids. I just love how Shadow is such a natural part of the family! I just love watching her. Sam, that piano ragtime is perfect for the puppies. We should call it either "Puppy ragtime" or the Dylan shuffle", lol. I just had a weird vision of sometime in the future, Evie coming home for the weekend from drama school in Sydney (Elle would be in vet school), serenading the latest bunch of rescue puppies with her one act play! 😂😂 Thanks for sharing these lovely family moments! Much as I adore the daycare doggies, I just love the family dozen and a few extra ring ins, its so calm. Looks like a nice sunny weekend for you after all the rain you've had and warm too, the girls in shorts and t-shirts! Little Wolfie is adorable in pink florals, a hand me down from the girls I'm guessing! The puppies are so cute and growing so fast.
