I just had to drop a line and say that you have the BEST INTRO on KZbin! Yours is the ONLY one I watch all the way thru. I love your content & commentary, as well. Great finds thrifting. The woman/doll bust and vintage broach are amazing.

@@avisioninvintageco9883 I found a landscape painting from 1864 in it's original frame in the Goodwill Outlet Bins. Had a huge tear in it because they tumbled it. I grabbed it so fast, everyone looked at me like I was nuts. I repaired the tear and it hangs on the wall in my living room. One of my favorite things, missing paint and all.

Good morning 🌞 you have no idea how much I enjoy the beginning intro to the video. There is something about it that brings back such great nostalgia for me. I see& feel my relatives in all of it. Your eye for the macabre continues to amaze me! As far as where to go to find good junk? My grandmother used to tell me the only place in the world for a really good deal was in Ohio. She lived in Upstate New York & we would go on junking field trips. They were heaven. I should have known anything Egyptian you would have nabbed before we got it. I can relate.😊 I suggested this before to you. Please check out Jason Adams. He has a new KZbin channel. I am an expert on jewelry & pottery but he has put me to shame. I have learned so much in Victorian jewelry that I never knew before. Plus he lives & goes to the Ohio flea markets all the time. He has videos on every era of jewelry that has existed. He also likes Art glass etc. it might help you be more comfortable in buying jewelry. Food for thought 🤔 just a suggestion 😉. Thank you for your lovely videos 🙏 They always put a smile on my face 😈❤

Thank you so much! 😊❤️ I subscribed to his channel. Such beautiful jewelry. 🤩 I'm just looking for a few brooches for my dressform, maybe a neclace. Sounds wonderful that you had someone to share the love of old with. ❤️❤️

If you were shopping at Ohio Valley Antique Mall, they have a 15% off weekend at times for the whole mall. They would send me emails for a heads up. And about spending at these places, I don't think I've ever been able to stay on budget myself. Looks like you found some really cool stuff.

New Subscriber....I'm a fan of antique silhouettes - thats a really nice one you found....do you mind if I ask how much it was that you had to pay for it? Some are so so high priced. Really enjoyed your video.

Not to be critical or a know-it-all, but when you find those brass pierced boxes (all shapes) with handles, they are Chinese cricket boxes. They were all the rage during the 1970s for holding potpourri and stuffed full of dried flower arrangements (lid half open). The history goes back hundreds of years when the Chinese kept singing crickets as pets. Your not pierced version might have been for tea. Just guessing, not an Asian Art expert. Your season for the curiosities and oddities is just around the corner. Happy Halloween my friend.
@avisioninvintageco98834 ай бұрын
I thought the same thing, but this one doesn't have any holes, not a one. That's why I assumed it was for tea. Dunno ?

@avisioninvintageco9883 with your crafting talent, you could totally paint it like a gas mask and goggles and make a covered assemblage with it, for Halloween.

A fellow KZbinr reseller - Tyce Tyce Baby - has 2 vlogs of a Goodwill manager giving him a back room tour. Eye opening to say the least. They even give their back room sorters UV lights. They have to check all green glass to see it if glows. There are list posted naming all the collectables, antiques and clothes brands to pulled. Everything pulled is then sent to be listed on ebay or Goodwill's own website sales.

It's so sad. They make millions off of donations and can't even let resellers have a chance at scraping by. 😩

Yup! I have 2 of those little weirdo in my collection. He's occupied Japan diver for a Goldfish bowl. The post War Japan aquarium pieces are collectable. The antique store price is double onIy what they cost last year. I tell friends, not in the collecting world he's an alien from the 1950's
