I cannot believe he only charged you $150 for all that!! That comes to about $1 an item. Good for you two, but a real bummer for the owner if he under-charged everyone else.

I think he did right by the owner...there wasn't a line around the corner to get in this sale. His job is to sell the items in a short time period, not get top retail price for all of it, or he'd be listing it all on ebay and selling it slowly. Typically the goal of an estate garage or moving sale is to sell everything fast, like in one weekend. Even after they picked there was still a crap ton of artwork left in that house that he was going to have to liquidate. Giving them a "good price" also meant that they might come back and get more stuff.

Great fun as always cool cool stuff! No longer a picker but still go 2 estate sales...got to 1 not long ago (& it's a looong story) & just as I was walking in I found out it was the estate of my English prof from 1977... she & husband both Greek he was a fine jeweler artist as well as prof at same college as my English teacher...she has a special hold on my soul...how cool u went there not knowing it was her estate...sorry this so dang long but thank u 🎉😻👏

Wow what a wild experience discovering it’s someone you know, then thinking she had passed, then finding out she didn’t. Omgoodness. You got the deal of the century at that estate. Glad you didn’t get the marble and alabaster bird bath. I have several of those and they are complete with all 4 birds. One is green marble and the alabaster doves are pure white. Really nice. Good scores on these estate sales!

It was really intense and just kind of hit me but so glad I found out all was ok. Then so many memories came flooding in. I ended up talking on the phone with her a few days alter and that was awesome

@@earthlydelights welcome. Yeah most of them are from Italy. Not sure if you could have cleaned the alabaster birds up. As you most likely know it’s quite porous, but it only had 3 birds. Someone might have been interested in it, but that extra hole with no bird would annoy me 😆 Thanks for the reply. 🙂

Those Italian hand carved bird baths @28:50 are worth quite a bit. I saw you with at least three different ones. Even chipped and flawed. I don't know if you got them, but maybe look them up. Also did you get the holt howard siamese cat? Great finds as always ❤️‍🔥👩‍🌾

I so wish I left with that bird bath! It was chipped and missing a bird so I put it back. Live and learn! We did get the holt Howard cats. We sold them in our booth. They had some condition issues but still very displayable. Thanks!

It’s so hot here. We won’t be doing the flea this Sunday because it’s gonna be in the high 90’s. Luckily I have a reserve of flea videos to keep them coming! You’re lucky your weather is cooler. Hope it stays that way.
