Damien you are an amazing photographer and proof that expensive gear doesn't automatically award amazing images ... youre proof that the vision, passion and drive will award those things with good underlying know how ... I've watched most of your lighting tutorials and your mentoring style is bang on. As a new photographer it's refreshing to hear that you too have some apprehension prior to a shoot... such a refreshing informative video without a profoto light or soft box in sight !!!! thank you

Amazing! This is a photographer whom I understand as myself . I've learned a lot. And please tell me how to darken the background on a photo in the studio ? As far as I understand, this is done by the exposure difference, where the contour takes the brightness on itself?
@LovegroveTraining Жыл бұрын
Thank you 🙏 To darken a background in a studio move your subject further away from the background to ensure that no light lands on the background.

Lovely video to watch. Really appreciate it, thank you. I have a question, do you use light meters?
@LovegroveTraining4 жыл бұрын
Hi Marcus, I've not used a light meter, either in the camera or handheld, since 2001 when I went digital. I use the camera screen as my guide to exposure. If the picture looks too dark I make it brighter by increasing the exposure and if it looks too light I decrease exposure. That way I have full artistic control of how the photograph looks. I don't use the histogram either..

Hi Mr body snatcher. This was shot in 2018. I'm aiming to run workshops in Brooklyn later this year but that relies on the Covid situation changing stateside and international flights opening up. I currently have an apartment booked in Brooklyn from 30th Oct to 4th Nov. Sign up for newsletters on lovegroveadventures.com to be kept up to date :) Cheers, Damien.

Enjoyed the video. Awesome eye and skill, but too many advertisement distractions. Like ad overkill on this one. Continued success to you sir.
@LovegroveTraining4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Sean Bruce Media for your compliments. I've not worked out how to reduce the adverts on KZbin. Even if I switch off monetisation KZbin fills my productions with ads and keeps the money. It is worth noting that every video that I post here is also available advert free on my blog: www.prophotonut.com/
@seanbrucemedia56954 жыл бұрын
@@LovegroveTraining Good deal. I click off for a bit when I got 3 ads within a few minutes of each other fairly early in the video. Came back a bit later in the evening to try again an it was a more 'tame' experience. Glad that I did come back to finish it as I enjoyed it immensely. Particularly your ability to produce gorgeous very polished looking photos as Jpegs straight out of camera. That is a goal of mine as well, less dependency on post production. I'll be visiting your blog sir. :-)
