The don't let what's "right" get in the way of what works is a great point. I was lucky enough to be at a Damien Maia seminar this year and he recalled asking Marcelo "Why do you keep going to the wrong side for the controlling arm when taking the back" and Marcelo's response was something like "The wrong side for you, maybe, but not for me"

Marcelo Garcia is such a classy individual. The way he exchanged techniques with Eddie Bravo was simply amazing. And one thing is evident about Marcelo - most of his techniques work for him and for him only since the guy seems to be acutely aware of what works for his own body structure.

I can never get over the types of holds people manage while tumbling like this. Right now I'm working on my striking game but I would love to learn bjj, I figure it will be a nice extension to the grecco Roman wrestling I was brought up on considering I got most of my pins and points from reversals from bottom. Edit: 11:23 how he reacted after getting the tap is so sportsmanlike. That really warms my heart, in the end we are all trying to improve our craft, the fact they are fighting is down to circumstance. No hard feeling between them, more people need to be like that and thank their opponents for a good fight like that.
