A final Goodbye to my favourite youtuber

This video is very special to me and marks an end to Ssundee in my daily life, from now on I've let go of the past and move on, to the future and whatever that holds.

Man, ssundee also changed my life I started watching him in 4th grade my favorite videos where when he did mc with crainers the old videos like troll craft, prison, skyblock but now he doesn't post with crainer and Captain Sparkles anymore which was sad I still watch him then and there but not as much as I used to. I'm in high school now, and I want to thank ssundee for changing my life.

Good point, but for me personally it's like watching your best friend change and disappear from your life. It's MY experience, MY thoughts and MY story. It doesn't mean you have to agree with me or that you can't enjoy what he makes now. I'm glad to hear people still enjoy him after the shift in content but it's just not for me.

Dude omg I feel this and it's accurate. Let me explain myself- in my childhood I watched Ssundee's FTB, CrazyCraft, and Blood n Bones series and I wouldn't say I was a fan and watched a lot of his content. However to this day I still rewatch those series especially FTB because of how much I love them. But I just can't watch any of his other videos. It's like you said his content changed, but for the worst. He's become one of those attention/view seeking KZbinrs, with the thumbnails and titles. He started Fortnite when it was popular, then Among Us when it was popular. I hate to say that I ended up liking Dream a few years ago but also had to stop watching him because in his case there's just soo much effin drama n shiz and the fake speedruns it's just aaaaaa. The only Minecraft KZbinr that I watched in the past year or so that I can say is pretty decent is Forge Labs, I like his 100 days stuff. Not much more I feel like typing here, if you or anyone else read this far then congrats! Here's a lollipop 🍭

I still watch some of his videos but I do think his older content was better. Not just the Minecraft content either, but also the Among Us content. When I first found him, I found things like Troll Craft, Golden Cobble, Blood and Bones, and Sky Factory. It was so much fun watching him spend episodes grinding because of a difficult mod pack, then hit a tipping point and become extremely strong. I know that may not be what others enjoyed, but it is what I enjoyed. Insane Craft was scripted, and until they did Lost Infinity Stones nothing ever seemed even remotely challenging for him, and it was frustrating, knowing that had they actually put their all into killing him, it could have been done. As for his Among Us content, when they started playing they were actually trying to win the game, trying to find the imposter and vote him out. Now they just run around with multiple lives and there’s never much of a challenge to it. They hardly look. Idk, it seems like they’re having fun but the content feels a little hollow at times.

His Minecraft series have gotten a little better than his old vids and he is spot more confident than when he fist started fornite was something more when I watched him play what really changed for me was among us at first it was okay and I loved random roles but now I can't even see any relation to old content although I miss it this is what younger kids grow up to so let him inspire them like he did us.

I have a similar experience with a person called "Devil Bona" She's a gacha creator The problem is that i became plder and she still posts the same kind of videos, a 2018 style gacha video with similar story Traumatic backstory -> friends -> become the alpha -> win Even though she's making her main oc a side character, it's following the same story, but someone else as mc I sometimes check up on her and rewatch her older videos, but I also moved to matpat. i miss the old days in 2015 when he uploaded my fav minecraft vids everyday. I would literally be sitting at my dinner table at 8pm est constantly refreshing his youtube cause he always uploaded at that same time. I'd have a plate of eggs and yogurt everyday at that time waiting for ssundee to upload(usually it uploads by 8:06pm). watching this video and looking back at my childhood ssundee's minecraft videos basically raised me. Despite me feeling nostalgic for the old ssundee, i know nothing lasts forever, youtube and the internet are constantly changing and we cant always have the same old minecraft lucky blocks, blood and bones, sky factory etc. sometimes i still like to rewatch the old lucky block series from time to time we often forget that youtubes always changing and ssundee at this point probably has a totally new generation of audiences, he's happy with his channel currently and is still growing and I hope he keeps up the good work, it's time to hand off ssundee to a new generation of kids who will enjoy his content the same way we enjoyed his old minecraft vids when we were lil kids

I right now actually am going back watching his skyblock 4 series and I have seen a lot of the Murder Mysteries as well sure its sad to see all of his other content change much differently but we can still appreciate and go back to watch the other videos he had made in the past like I am doing right now and even though I do watch his newly posted videos occasionally, I am starting to watch his older content more than his latest content.

I am now 21, I think I saw his first video when I was 10, or 11, I grew up watching his videos, and they essentially substituted cartoons for me, that was my TV series as a kid. I try to justify to myself that his change in content was to evolve with the generations, he raised mine with his charm, so maybe he needs to adapt to raise the next with that same charm, just more modern. Unfortunately, now that I can look & compare, the older content just had a more natural feel to it, like something I myself could experience if I played with friends, even if it was scripted, & a little forced on the laughs or reactions to random jokes, it still felt natural. But this content now, no matter how I spin it, it's like watching a low budget movie with poorly paid actors, the content still garners him millions of views, and that's fine, I am glad the youtuber of my childhood is still successful in his life today, but I feel bad for the generation watching him. The content just isn't as rich, it's all scripted down to the laughs, and that feels bad, I want this generation to develop based on what I saw as a kid, and I know that's unfair, but it would just feel healthier in my bias perspective & opinion, instead of giving kids this expectation of constant euphoria in every action you take.

What you say here is very true, and I completely agree. It had charm, and as a kid who didn't have minecraft or couldn't play with friends, it was very special for me to experience that friendship without me actually having the chance to enjoy it myself. Not to mention, he was probably my first inspiration to make content.

I started watching SSundee a month or so ago. I dont watch all his content, but I do watch a lot of it. I feel you. My favourite KZbinr changed in October last year. I discovered someone better than my favourite KZbinr at the time, and my current favourite KZbinr has been my favourite ever since. I still watch my old favourite KZbinr, and they are still in my top five favourite KZbinrs.

One of the main things that ruined my perspective of the man who made me the person I am today was a few years ago. He uploaded a video where he told his fans he would quit Minecraft. Even though I was around 11 years old, I understood but was still heart broken. I genuinely cried because the amazing KZbinr that he was decided to change up his style to purely Fortnite. It makes sense. While I never liked Fortnite because I personally don’t like shooter games, I knew that he was getting tired of Minecraft and understood that he was probably never going to play it again. I noticed one of his amongus videos about a year back and I decided to check on his channel. He had uploaded Minecraft videos exactly when it became popular again. I understand wanting to ride the hype train, but after he told the story of how he was tired and burnt out on Minecraft I couldn’t accept it. I felt lied to. The man who I respected and grew up with lied to every one of his viewers right to their faces. I couldn’t believe it. I left the channel because while it makes sense to ride trends, he lied to his fans and long time supporters. I was done and whenever click on his channel it’s because I wanted info on a mod that he happened to play. Goodbye to the good times. Cya Ssundee

This is just so incredibly stupid. Like outside the realm of being a reasonable reason to feel disrespected and "ruined [your]" perspective of the man. You felt LIED to because the man says he was burnt out and comes back to the game after like 2 years? He DID quit Minecraft. He played solely Fortnite. Not for a week and clickbait titles. He left for years and came back afterward when the trends were on the rise and he was no longer burnt out on making pretty much solely Minecraft content for the many years of his channel. All this screams is that you were an immature kid who lost a youtuber they liked and then bottled up those feelings for nothing, no longer watching his content. Which is understandable. After all, why watch content you don't enjoy? Then, years after that, you come back to find you missed him enjoying Minecraft again and those feelings+the removal of loyalty to him as a creator led to this. People often don’t realise SSundee spans 2 generations. His content is not “worse” now, it’s just for a different audience. I’m happy for him now though, he looks healthier and happier than I ever saw him back in the day. Rewatching his old videos now, it seems like back then he only ever found enjoyment from Minecraft/gaming. Now it seems like he lives a fulfilling life that Minecraft/gaming happens to be apart of. I understand your perspective here, but in the words of the wise, keep an open mind :)

Back then, he actually tried to make it genuine, but now…it’s just so scripted and it’s aimed to 5 year olds. I miss his old contents. I especially loved his murder run. Skyfactory 1-3 (maybe four, I don’t remember) were gold

Sky factories 1 and 2 were the best, 3 was good but not as good as the aforementioned. 4 had its moments, but was plagued by more modern elements of Ssundee. The revival was almost unwatchable.

I checked on him recently and he has a "MAX LEVEL skibidi toilet in roblox" and just couldn't anymore. Honestly, even his old fortnite content was atleast getting good likes and views. Those videos were getting hundreds of thousands each time. But now he's getting like, 50k views on a really good video. I honestly have no idea why he is even making these new videos anymore.

Some new content now is not bad but it all feels scripted and not the same. But he had to change everything to save his KZbin career. He would have been a dead channel or just not alot of viewership channel. He had to change and attract new people and kids. Take for example SkyDoesMinecraft, his channel died due to the same content. And a lot of other content creator's channels died from doing the same thing. We (me included) don't like the change but we can't blame him. We miss the old him.

I found ssundee at the end of 4th grade. I absolutely loved his videos. I had to even stop watching youtube for a year, because I was too addicted to his videos (I started watching like 8 hours a day even..). I’m back after a year and I’m addicted again, but luckily not too badly. I’m now in 7th grade and I’m turning 14 years old in 4 months. I don’t really like his newest among us videos, they all seem completely staged, but otherwise it’s ok.

I loved ssundee minecraft old series. But i dont have any interest on new minecraft, i only watch roblox challenged he upload nowadays. There's so much changed in his content that i dont like anymore

Honestly I think the problem started when Ssundee's wife Madeline, as well as Crainer (there's a whole other video on why Crainer left and it's not because of something dumb like timezones) left him. Ssundee realized he had to start putting more thought and love into his family, because he's been devoting too much of that to us, the viewers, the ones he call family. But ssundee also has to make money, so he started putting less thought into his videos and selling out more, as well as following the trend of popularity, just to make more money with less work. And if that means Ssundee spends more time with his family, I'm okay with that. But yeah. Godspeed, Ssundee
