I love the reaction from Laura when Mike actually takes her cheque. Then again when he comes back and asks her to sign it. Having this marvellous writer and these wonderful performers to entertain us makes one proud to be British.

sadly, Phil played by Richard Warwick died of AIDS. 1997. And Mike, played by Mike Williams, died 2001. Mike and Judi were married 1971 until his death.

Season four, such a mess . Why on earth is unemployed Laura constantly wearing a dress suit, to sit around her sisters house? Is this supposed to indicate sudden wealth? If she has money, why do they have to borrow to make a house deposit? Smh, the writing just died .
