I can’t say thank you enough for putting this video up to enlighten and teach us more about the magnificent engineering on these cars. I own a 06 e90 330i and ever since I replaced all 4 of my brake pads and rotors everything changed. I wasn’t getting that feel of the tight pressure when you depress the brake pedal, even with brand new callipers I would have to go push almost all the way down before I get that bite. I just tried this after watching this video and I used Bimmer Geeks Protool to achieve this. I will swear on this any day. Now pedals feel tight and even my steering feel is back to that tight feel like when I first bought the car. Mine had the option to calibrate everything DSC and all hydraulic pressure. I am happier than ever now. Thanks again.

Just tied this in my F80 M3. Will know more tomorrow while at the track. Last couple of times at the track my driving coach who is helping me drove my car a couple of times, and stated that the pedal needs to be firmer in order for me to be able to improve my braking and heel / toe. I have an HP racing big brake kit on the car, however, my car has recently been built, and the ABS module and the wiring loom was taken out of the car while the fabrication was being done.

@tonytube275 жыл бұрын
Man if this works on my F25 X3 it’s a game changer because my brakes are still good but since I’ve gone full bolt on and Bootmod3 Stage 2 tune, any fractions of a second this coding provides is way worth it! I’ll just set a calendar event for an earlier than normal brake inspection to stay on top of any wear and that nullifies any concerns of missed wear and tear! Thank u!

Thanks so much for this!!! Really hyped to try it! 👍 Just got my car and had been very disappointed with the brakes coming from a 30 year old car that had 4 piston calipers. Had a very intense bite anytime you tapped the brake and I'm hoping to get anything closer to that feel I got used to.

Hi, I have just changed brake discs and calipers in the front of my 320i F31 LCI -> 330i brakes. I bleed the brakes using brake pedal at first and now the pedal feels ok with engine off but with brake vacuum it kind of lowers and is all but firm. I tried the bleed procedure in Delphi and the pump cycles and completes the procedures says all is good but no improvement. I almost suspect that the master brake cylinder have given up during the bleeding. I have now also bleed the brakes with a pressurized bleeder with ~1.5 Bar from the reservoir, but still same with engine on. Would be great if you could demo the ista bleed procedure in a video. Thanks for a great channel.

I've been using INPA for this and it's been so great! Firm as hell! I accidentally found this feature in INPA. I don't bleed brake line anymore since they are firm. I believe I do the rears and move to fronts sequence. You can feel the pedal firmness in after following the screen instruction.

@dduktube2 жыл бұрын
@@Montolouge21 In main menu, CHASIS, DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL, ACTIVATE, SHIFT , SHIFT ,,,on the right hand side of menu. There are 4 of them...FR, RR, FR, FL. I'd do it from top to bottom order. You have to watch the screen and step on brake pedal when it tells you and stop when it tells you. Try several times to get used to it as you may miss the timing. This link gives you pretty good demo but it included bleeding whereas for me it's REWORKING only. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kICzmZttmaaVfqM It changed braking from hell to hell yes! I do it 1-2 times a year and no bleeding hassles.

@dduktube Жыл бұрын
@@E92_450ss Yeah I haven't done any bleeding for many years now. I followed INPA instruction and stepped on the pedal. I discovered the better way that makes brake pedal work even better(light braking and it grabs lightly but immediately and sensitive to pedal pressure). It feels like the way it came from factory. Before, the rear brakes rotors looked like pads never contacted and no rotor worn mark. Now it's working hard and I see it grabs and wearing down some. Love it!

The point of the gradual break pedal bite decrease is to let the driver know the breaks are close to end of life & will need replacing. Doing this basically tells the car the breaks were replaced and could be dangerous if the pads are not properly monitored & could give out at anytime; although depending on the break pads, they will start squealing.
@von...5 жыл бұрын
this could be a valid concern tbh. I may still do it, but this is something to consider if you are not maintaining your cars brake pads and rotors.
