You can tell when someone is enjoying playing a guitar. And Dagan, I think you were enjoying that. Sounded great.

The distorted humbucking sounds amazing. However, when going for clean tones using the coil split I noticed some treble loss. What I saw in other videos is that adding a bit of compression + eq corrects this issue.

Just got the turquoise one on sale. My first PRS! Excellent guitar for the price. Came in perfect condition and well set up out of the box. Just polished the frets and treated the fingerboard, put 10s on it, and added a spring to the trem, which brought the action down to perfection for me. Intonation was spot on and the frets are very smooth. So far I don't see needing to make any mods, this is a great backup for my strat and saves me lugging around my 12 lb Les Paul to gigs, I'm getting too old for that.

High grit wet and dry will sort a gloss neck out. Cheaper than buying one of these.

Seems to me if you were trying to promote a guitar it wouldn’t be so much of a focus on your playing in a distorted crunch, people need to hear the melodic abilities of clean playing, any $45 dollar guitar can make distorted noise

@@m1ghtysauc3E actually I did, I’ve watched many of your videos, it was you that actually helped me choose an amp and 2 guitars, , the only reason I even made the comment was because once you start shredding you drag it out and it becomes more about your playing than the gear, you are entertaining and helpful but in a 15 minute video it 8 to 9 minutes of you shredding and 4 to 5 minutes about gear

Until PRS get rid of the cheap-looking pickup rings and the awful neck lacquer on the SE range I just can't take them seriously. Particularly for the prices they charge now. This one fixes one of those problems, but the pickup rings still look cheap and ruin the aesthetic for me.

@@robespinosa1978 What makes you think it's the color?
@robespinosa197811 ай бұрын
True. I made an assumption because most people don’t like the looks of the black rings. Having said that, a pickup ring is a pickup ring unless you want to custom order something made out of metal or wood. I sincerely doubt these pickup rings are any different than the ones on their $5000 guitars. What would be your definition of an “expensive” looking pickup ring? (honest question)
@Malediction9911 ай бұрын
@@robespinosa1978 I believe they're a different shape to the Core and S2 pickup rings. Which does make a big difference to me, but even then I'd much rather see them direct mounted.
@robespinosa197811 ай бұрын
Ok, I know which rings you’re referring to. I agree that they’re much nicer looking. Direct mount pickups has never been a PRS thing. Still, for the money, this is a crazy good little guitar for an import. Certainly the price point alone (I got mine new delivered in the US for $500) is pretty remarkable for anything with tge PRS name on it. Will it ever replace my Knaggs or my Tom Anderson guitars? Of course not but I can also play an entire night’s gig on my SE CE 24 without feeling like I’m compromised. Sorry, I digress. I appreciate your thoughts and comments.
