What do you consider the difference between flash and first go?
@GlobalClimbing3 жыл бұрын
I think "flash" is pretty clear, but "1st go" means that I may have done some moves of the problem already. For example, two problems have the same start but different finish. Then I could have only flashed one. In some cases I may have tried a a sketchy top-out first, before actually attempting it from the start.

If you know where to tick your holds before you climb it then what is the point of doing it?
@GlobalClimbing3 жыл бұрын
Good question! I think it's just for fun. I also enjoy the athletic aspect of climbing.

Great video, impressive climbin’, but I’m confused - if I were that strong, there’s no way you’d find me doing lowball, 2-star V8’s and 9’s! I’d be on the Ethan trio, the 12s in Black Velvet, Meadowlark, etc. Did you also get on the classic hard boulders, and they just aren’t in the video? Or were you coming back from injury? Or maybe you just wanted to do the most V6-V10 problems you could? Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed the video! Unique to have 45 minutes of flash attempts!

Hey Tyler! Thanks for the feedback! Well, you're right, probably not all the lines I did were 5-star and hard. But I'm usually with a group of climbers with very mixed skills, so I sometimes end up climbing whatever is near me. Also, I usually don't project when I'm in a new area for the first time. I enjoy doing as many different problems as possible. However, that trip I was actually recovering from a cold and I wasn't 100% fit. If I ever make it to Red Rocks again, I'll probably put more effort into the harder classics.
