F1 still has great seasons. 2010 and 2012 were two of the closest and most thrilling seasons we've had lately. Hell, even 2011 was good if you ignore the results (racing was good despite Vettel's winning streak). I also enjoyed the inter-team battle between Rosberg and Hamilton in 2014. 2013 and 2015 were pretty weak seasons, and I believe 2016 is going to be rather lacklustre, too (you never know, though). We've got some things to look forward to in 2016 at least: Ferrari hopefully closing in Mercedes Toro Rosso likely beating the crap out of Red Bull (at least for the first half of the season, depending on how much Red Bull care to develop the car vs. developing next year's) McLaren (hopefully) making some decent progress back up the field. Haas - I believe - coming in as a solid midfield team with two solid drivers (beating Sauber, Manor and hopefully Renault).

I like f1 regardless of engine, whoever's competing or action inside the race. IMO a true F1 fan would say "V6 isn't my thing but it'll work" and a few people say that it won't. But it is true, 76' season was cool, so was 2004. And Senna's time as well (Coming from someone born in 2001 haha)

I'm genuinely looking forward to this race, not just because it's a new race. I mean, the design looks really good, it's a good location with really nice scenery, and very quick with not much room for run off areas which make it more like a high speed Monaco rather than Valencia or Singapore. This track kind of somewhat reminds me of Mexico. It seemed like a lot of people hated the actual layout but for me, the atmosphere and sorroundings were what gave it a seat on the calendar. I think that the Baku circuit has beautiful places sorrouding the actual track, like a street circuit should. I also don't think the layout is all that bad. I think I might be one of the few people actually really looking forward to this race.

+EvilShredder errr Monaco is one of the BEST TRACKS ON THE CALENDER. Because it's so hard to overtake, you skills need to be pushed to the limit, making spectacular race. Also the setting is amazing as well.

ismazara I get all the argument. Monaco is hard for the drivers to not hit the barriers, the architecture is nice, and the crowd are high-brow snobs you'd like to network with. But it's slow and there are no overtakes. It's boring to a fault unless your pony is first.

+Antti Eerik people say that like 90 degree corners are bad for some reason. i'll admit some of the 90 degree corners in monaco are terrible but they work in russia because the track width varies, making each 90 degree corner massively different . at a glance baku seems to have a lot of variance in track width so it shouldn't be a bad circuit. but of course we won't know until we get there
