Yesterday was my last day of my MUN conference sadly, it was a great experience tbh, i won't lie i was nervous at first but then everything went smoothly, i was the first one to raise my plac card (idk how to write it) to say my opening speech and the chair said order to clap in that moment i kept participating during the whole conference and it was great 👍 just don't stress out

@@Cansun0 well things overall are fine ...but anyways , I was a bit hot-tempered, so I'll say that unless you're the more powerful and better armed countries like the USA , China, Russia , or North Korea try not to be too aggressive, leave the aggressive arguments to the more experienced delegates they have the ability to fill the room with an incredible amount of tension with polite yet insulting words. ( I am the representative of Nigeria and the USA and China are forcing me to choose sides ... ) I also had a problem with answering too many POI s. Try not to open urself to too much POIs , maybe 2 , and be aware of your countries allies and rivals , otherwise you might get arguements sent in ur way by ur rival country and you might not be able to defend yourself properly without allies. But if you're a more neutral country like ...perhaps Liechtenstein ? You won't need to worry too much about that. And prep urself with complete understanding of the topic . I had to do research doing lunch and it's so rushed... good luck :)

@@khaenriya Well the first time I was at a Model UN event we were having a caucus during one of the smaller assemblies. One of the experienced older guys approached me. He started talking to me and trying to convince me to support his clause. I was in a daze and just nodded at what he was saying. I didn't realize until too late that he put me down as a speaker for the amendment. I can't even think about what happened after that.

@@khaenriya Definitely. If I had any advice to give, it'd be don't let anyone pressure you into anything. You don't have to speak. You'll feel a lot better speaking when you feel prepared. That situation ruined the rest of Model UN for me that year. I hope you fare better than I did. :)
