If you ever need a good summer bite go north on the river. About 5 miles north there is a gravel launch that holds great fishing. Most of the bass in that spot have never seen a lure because of how little pressure the area gets. A square bill right on the shore usually works best. Other lures do work too because the fish are shallow chasing bait. Hope this advice is helpful.

We hit the lakes in Minnesota every year and rent homes for a week at a time and it's the same thing. From 5am to 9am it's bananas. They all hangout under the docks.

I asked a restaurant owner in ocean city maryland to fish in the restaurant pond because I threw an orange peel in the water and an 8-9 pounder slammed it off the top. So I frog fished in there caught 22 bass in a few hrs biggest being 6 lbs 4 oz. Smallest 2 lb 7 oz
