My Save with Stockport was going well after getting them promoted from league one to the premier league. Now 10 games in to the premier league season and we are 19th and I am at risk of losing my job. This game can be frustrating. The board have giving me a target of getting 6 points from the next 5 games. This was a nice detour to come to after my bad run of form. Really enjoying this series keep it up Jack!

about the thing with the cold spreading in the club, it actually happened to me in my first ever FM Save. I didn't know what to do and kept the sick player at the club and in the following like two weeks i had around 5-8 other players get a cold on after another.

Jack have you looked at all yet about a new stadium? Im playing the save as well, im in the championship in the 27/28 season and requested a new stadium and the board granted it. It's still in the planning process but the initial estimate was 14000 seat stadium. Not sure if I requested it too early, since that's a bit small for once we are a bigger fish down the line.

Re Colds/flu etc - yeah, I did a famous "Jack misclick" a couple of seasons ago in my FM24 save and saw half a dozen players fall ill! Got EXTREMELY lucky, though, cos my next two matches were postponed due to bad weather and so everyone was feeling better by the time I played again. But I wasn't half annoyed with myself! Send 'em home - even sending them to the Doctor is risky if you ask me! PS I DO appreciate and take seriously the Football League trophy. I always start my FM adventures as my home-town team Chester and always make an objective to win the FL Trophy......something I've only done once in my last few FM saves!? I know it's an extra burden of games but I use it as a bit of squad rotation to begin with to allow fringe/new signings to bed in and show their worth.

He guys I’m new to the game. I know everyone says it’s overwhelming but I’m just wondering how hands on with some things I need to be. Mainly about press conferences, manager meeetings and training? How often should I be fully hands on and taking all of these things? Do guys like WTS just set up tactics and basically just go game to game? Or are they constantly interacting with ll of these other aspects. Let me know!

Hey there! With Press Conferences, it's up to you. They do become EXTREMELY repetitive (always asking same questions, responses options not great...) but getting the Press onside does make life slightly easier as they will report things more positively which helps your image etc. The Manager Meetings - again, same as Press Conferences. Can be very repetitive but can offer up some nuggets of info/recommendations quite regularly. Training - for me, I'm 100% hands-ON - even for my youth teams. I make sure (over time) to get the best Assistant Manager and Coaches possible but I create all the overall training and all the individual training programmes. It is a lot of work but I think it's worth it. Contract Negotiations - I know you didn't ask about this but I've added it cos it's the same answer as Training for me. I find handing over contract negotiations to the Director of Football (if you have one) or some other staff member can lead to some shocking contracts being handed out or some star players not agreeing new contracts. Hope this helps!
