@@mnieh9869 got stuck and just gave up on life. It wouldnt matter if I respawned right away, it would give me maybe like 4-5 more laps, but I would still be last, so whats the point lol. Turbo saab actually came to help at the end, got me unstuck and I fell into the water. I didnt want to end the year drowning to death, so I respawned and finished the race. So you can actually thank Turbo saab that I survived those dark times being stuck and finished the year strong.

One thing I've learned over watching these random all's since they've come out is that Mildrloll (Dr. Tryhard) has his name for a reason. He'll call you out for the smallest things you can't control just so he can be petty. I feel like he wasn't in the right to call Brough out on the first lap seeing as how they are already hectic given the nature of the race. Just embrace the randomness and have fun.

@@DiNmiTe I wholly understand server rules and I enjoy watching people be called out for their mistakes but I feel like there should be a understanding that these are random races and shit will happen. Between lag spikes and people slingshotting you into others causing crashes there are always going to be uncontrollable circumstances that don't deserve repentance, at least in my opinion.

@@anakinshadow528 We can't just relax server rules for a race type like random all. Outside of when broughy is on hosting races, random all races are sparingly hosted and not nearly as frequent and they're more like "cooldown" or "chill" races before we go back to hosting more semi serious racing which is what the server was created for. If we relax the rules for random all then it sends the wrong message when new people join when their only exposure to the server are these videos.

I totally get having the callout rules, but when your lag is so high that you’re jumping all over the track, you shouldn’t be calling people out. You just instantly appear right in front of or next to someone, they can’t help it. You can, by staying out of the race, or just dealing with your shitty connection and not calling people out.

Their races aren't any less important than anyone else's. A lot of people have really quite bad connection with FiveM, and if they get taken out on their screen, what's the reason not to abide by the server rules?

I know this may sound harsh, but there NEEDS to be a cap on ping in Project Homecoming. Getting real tired of seeing Brough pass a car around a corner while he's 10 feet away from the other car, but still seeing it do that little spin without making a collision sound and then seeing Broughy's name come up in the chat. This extreme lag ruins the race many times.

Capping ping means people in Asian countries or places further way from the server would not be able to join, and thus its incredibly harsh to them. If someone's constantly warping around, we'd ask them to sort their connection out, or bin them if needs be. Generally speaking, you know the high ping drivers and thus know how to drive with extra care when around them.

lag is more complicated than just a ping value. People with slow pc or overdriving their settings can also be laggy as heck. And you can have good ping but garbage connection.

@@rjskillz92 to extend what Inssom said, even with people who have similar ping to me, lag issues can still happen. It's not a simple fix as you think. And we won't go down the exclusivity route of "get better internet/pc or else don't join" since that'll cut out a massive chunk of the community. Lag issues like this also happen sparingly, only in Broughy videos it seems a bigger issue.

Random All Select is a great gamemode. Everyone still has a fair race considering that the car selection is the same throughout, and the variety of vehicles that can show their faces during a race can provide for an exciting and interesting prospect to deal with. I do like the normal Random All races too, but this is a channel that is based off of lap times and true racing that you can’t find anywhere else. Keep doing what you’re doing Broughmaster1322.

Yesterday, after getting my proper gaming PC I’ve been dreaming about, and getting GTA 5, I downloaded FiveM, and I gotta say, the project homecoming server is just the best thing in the world and I haven’t even tried racing yet! I spent 4 hours just trying all the amazing cars in the testing server.

There is a lot of serious racing from Broughy which I enjoy as well but I love these 25 minutes of madness. Personally I think I'd prefer a halfway house to Random Sporty by which I mean ditch the unholy Trinity and maybe 2 or 3 others but don't remove all slow cars. For me seeing cars go at different speeds is one element, another is the saltiness level of Broughy when he suddenly gets a drift car. If he knows it's coming, it's just not as funny. And don't forget that race where Broughy went from 4th to 1st on the "final" (quotes are there deliberately) lap, now that was something else.

Can just speak for myself, but I'm only here for random all since serious racing and GTA doesn't mix. If I want serious racing I watch an actual racinggame like ACC or PC2, or in worst case GT Sport

Could be a resource thing, especially on consoles. In a normal transform race, the game knows what vehicles are coming and knows to cache those vehicle models (and even then they have that massive smoke cloud to hide any pop-in), whereas in something like Random All, the potential pool of vehicles is so much larger, so hardware like consoles would likely just be unable to handle all of it.

I wonder if Broughy was the last person to see where his Elegy was heading ... and after the previous lap although that one was a bit more of a shock. I suppose the thing about Random All is you can never say where you would have finished because the chances are if you cross the line at a different time or a different P then you'll have different cars anyway. If he hadn't had issues then he might have won but on the other hand he could have gone even worse. Less collisions than I was expecting on that track and Broughy's driving was quite smooth ... when he was concentrating.

I love racing with all of my heart and soul but Random All is the perfect game mode for the variety of cars we have in GTA. After all, it is a game. For truly serious racing GTA has some glaring issues, e. g. its collision "physics".

I feel like there's something wrong with the UnholySpeed situation. I mean, if you can afford a pc good enough to run this game at 60 fps, you can afford better internet. Better internet is cheaper than a better pc.

As the infrastructure quality varies wildly from place to place, good internet isn't necessarily a matter of money. Well, at least reasonable money. I mean, I'm sure any ISP will be happy to install fibre in a shack in the middle of nowhere if you throw enough money at them.

I mean, I don't think better internet costs anywhere near like $700, which is my guess as to what 60 fps would cost.

The warping is caused by dropped packets (read: poor routing or an unstable connection), which leads to the server and other clients essentially having to guess where the laggy player is. Once fresh positional data is finally received, they update accordingly, sometimes with catastrophic results. So you can have a super powerful computer, running FiveM at 260FPS, but if your connection is garbage, you'll still be warping around.

I’ve been watching these for a while and have always wondered where the tracks come from. Are they available to play on standard GTA Online or are they exclusive to the mod/server? I’ve always wanted to play them but I’m on console so was curious.

Some maps are taken from GTA Online's Creator, across the three platforms, and there are some that are exclusive to PH due to increased props/checkpoints.

He knows that he is laggy but instead of letting people go for incidents that happen only because of his internet he calls them out just to gain some positions. It's just really scummy and it makes it for really bad racing if you have to stop super often just because some but has shit Internet

As someone who is stuck on console (ps4) for the foreseeable future do you think they will ever add a random all mode for creator races too for console? Is it even possible? It looks like so much fun.

There are some problems that make things a bit more complex than just making a new server for random races. For one, servers aren't free, so it'd add to the upkeep costs of running Homecoming. Secondly, someone would need to host on the Random server, and after 3-4 randoms, you really start to get fatigued and start wishing for normal racing. Thirdly, we expect the server would be popular for maybe 3-4 weeks until most of the people have gotten their fill and then it'd just sit mostly empty.
