A flattering Burgundy makeup tutorial for Autumn
The colour of the season is burgundy and a flattering way to try out this colour is with makeup. It works for almost every eye colour from hazel to green and is suprisingly wearable. Burgundy is a great way to change up your makeup if you usually wear browns & coppers too.
For this daytime look I apply a wash of the shade and use on cheeks, lids and lips. Let me know what you think of this look and if you are a Burgundy convert yet.

Gorgeous! This week and last week's looks have been absolutely gorgeous and full of useful tips, as always. I adore Bisou Balms and ordered two in Myrtille as I knew I would love the colour: it's a berry but it manages to stay on the luminous side and is super flattering. Really brightens the face. Looked so good on you. Bought one of the NYX blushes (and bronzer) for my daughter last week and they looked a bit scary in pigment but may have to add one to my stash. Have a lovely weekend. xx Anecdote: I watched this video in bed with a cup of tea like every Saturday and my husband who was shaving in the ensuite shouted "Caroline?!". He knows! 😄

I have a heart shaped face, and enormous eyes; I’ve always done that sort of center front apples blush application, even when everyone is harping on high angles because it just suits my face, and like you say, every face is different! I call it my “rococo face”, like Pompadour, Du Barry, and Marie A.

The Violette FR blushes wear well on the lips too. I bought a blush and a lip product and find that the blush stick works for both and lasts longer on the lips. The reds are amazing for the worn in / relaxed look!

Hi Caroline, I have the Firework mascara but I use it as a top coat over my MasterpieceMax mascara which defines my lashes but doesn’t give them enough volume, the combo works. Spent years searching for one that both defines and gives volume - my lashes are so so thin 😩. Welcome to Autumn Caroline 😆 x

Have you tried HRT Caroline? Sounds like you’re definitely menopausal 🤷‍♀️ I didn’t realise I was until I had passed the period menopause and was in full blown menopause and the brain thing is the thing that drove me batty most of all! I’m on oestrogen spray and progesterone tablets as can’t take HRT tablets due to blood pressure issues and previous blood clots and it’s absolutely amazing how much better I feel and I’ve gone from worrying about what everyone thinks and being very negative about myself to not giving a crap and actually being very kind to my poor body and even started using body moisturiser which i didn’t even want to do before as was so horrible to my body I didn’t feel it deserved it😅

To me, you look overblushed.I would have liked to see half the amount of blush and from the beginning on a bit higher placement, as you did at the end of the video.The big amount looks a bit patchy to me.

Agree with you that the Bisou Balm is quite unique. Unfortunately, for me at least, it is drying AF on my lips. Wasted a bunch of money buying 3 of them 🫤
