Couldn't agree more. Her career & roles have been so rich & varied but in every one she so completely embodies her characters that her weight or size has never stood out as a distraction or feature. I do feel kind of sad that with the advent of GLP-1 drugs there will come a time when our beloved actors & actresses who have always bucked the trend of stick thin will no longer be a wide variety of body sizes & shapes - reflective of how as we the audiences are in real life - but rather a chemically reduced idealised standard body type with no room for variation.

And let's not forget a little lesser known role either - Disjointed. Kathy has always been the characters she plays. Oozing authenticity anytime she is on the screen. And her eyes have always been able to portray so much of the character everytime. One of the greatest scenes is from A Family That Preys... Kathy is sitting silently in the pews watching a choir sing in Church, eyes filling with tears, and the camera just stays there for 20 seconds or so... There's no dialogue and it's just Charlotte (Kathy's character), but I'll never forget the acting. It breaks your heart. Her face alone did all the acting and it told so much. Kathy is an amazing talent.

I lost 50 pounds and it was so slow and hard and long. Then I suffered a major depression and in 100 days I gained the whole 50 pounds back. Now back to losing 1 to 2 pounds a week, usually 1 pound weekly. I will be 69 years old next month. You look good. We love you. Good on you and clothes fit so much better when you lose the weight.

I know how you feel. I lose weight slowly too. Weight watchers is one of the great programs but I only followed the program but stopped going to meetings because it was discouraging being in a room with people losing 5-7 # a week. One of the instructors asked why and I told her why. Her only answer was “ but you’re still a nice person” . That is not what I needed to hear. I am on Ozempic and it does help. I’ve lost 20# in 6 mos.

I eat healthy, but snack, and have severe arthritis so it is hard to walk or exercise. But, you have inspired me! I am going to get serious! I wish i understood how you choose. I love life so much and sharing love. It is like i just discovered life the last 5 years, and especially now that i found a church that actually lives what they preach! I hope others do, too. Covid and politics was the proof of the pudding, and broke my heart in regard to churches. What a shock, but Scripture kept it beating in hope! The joy of finding creativity and being able to share it, has been wonderful. Eating is part of that joy. I got seriously depressed once years ago and quit eating. There was no joy in me or life. Music even hurt instead of cheering me, and food was like sawdust. I lost a lot of weight before i came out of it. Praise God that i did! So, i guess that might be part of what's holding me back. Nothing i read or people i talk to seem to have any real help. If i eat what they say, i would never get off the toilet! Well, i am going to find a way. I really am. My sis died of diabetes complications 20 years ago. I miss her terribly. I will use your program as inspiration. You and i can be sisters of heart. Go, girl! Love you! Have fun!

What an inspiration! I lost around 70 lbs since last year at this time. Now I struggle with maintaining and I have binge eating disorder. Lost and gained so many times over my lifetime. I am almost 72 and Kathy has given me hope that I can keep the weight off. Determination - I will remember that word. Great advice from a great and classy lady.
