Great to see inside the factory. The Fleming company was founded in 1860 by Robert Fleming here in my home county , Donegal. I believe the company is still owned by the Fleming family which is a great achievement in itself. Whether its Northern Ireland or the Republic, you have to admit there is some fine agricultural products produced on this wee island.

I have a few bits of Fleming gear, and absolutely love it, never a bit of bother with any of them, or the paint, but I keep everything under cover when not in use , winter and summer.

The paintwork on thier products leaves a lot to be desired.. Bought a pasture topper kept it clean & rusted away after a few months on the top .. the design for water release is absolutely brutal… never again!!!

Be careful on the promotional stuff as it could get you in bother, especially with all the links without declaring it. They were talking about it on the news at the weekend. Anyway i have a Fleming topper i got many years ago, served us very well and can remember it being a good bit cheaper then others at the time. Good Irish brand. I can see a few Fleming items on the way 👍🏼

The most important stage of the painting process is shot blasting. Painting over rusty steel won't last.

Paint work on the trailers is junk, I don’t know if they have changed how they paint them but only use to last five minutes 😢

They aren't shotblasting, so unless they are using an etching primer, the paint has no chance of sticking to the steel

We use an etching primer and 2 pac polyurethane paint on all products
