Loved seeing all of your thrifting finds. The gift shop is gorgeous...my favorite: the mercury glass bar of ornaments. I purchased some a while back in Michigan in hopes of adding them to a cross-stitch finish I have in mind; hopefully this Christmas I will complete that project.

We have a store in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, called Create Exchange. People bring their unwanted craft supplies, and they are sold for a little bit of nothing. You pile things on the counter and they look it over and quote you a price. I got an entire set of Tunisian crochet hooks, gnome beards, pompoms, and a geode set, huck toweling, and more for 15.00! I always wait with baited breathe to hear the quote, which is usually half of what i thought it would be! Then there's the Crowded Closet in Iowa City, a Mennonite relief sale shop. It's got everything. I head to the craft section. I have to limit my trips to both places or I'd be broke! Super cheap, good quality, and amazing finds!

Thank you so much! Actually, I know that look similar, but that’s actually a sunrise. It rises over the canyon where I live, but sets behind the mountains so it gets dark quickly here. Either way, it’s beautiful!

I always like to see what you find on your gift store and thrifting adventures. Lots of great stuff in the gift shop. So many ideas. I had to laugh when you showed the punch bowl. I found mine in the bottom cupboard of my hutch just last week, and wondered what in the world will I ever do with it. I contemplated donating it. Mine isn’t a fancy curvy one like yours, but is slant-sided pressed glass. Also complete with cups and ladle. My auction loving parents supplied any of us kids that wanted a set. They could pick them up so cheaply at auctions, and everyone should have one, right? Different era, I guess. Since last year’s Vlogmas, I have been picking up the Leisure Arts Christmas Cross Stitch and Spirit of Christmas books when I find them. I had 2 or 3 of the Christmas cross stitch ones from back when they originally came out. It’s been fun to pick them up for $1-$2. I recently picked up Book 1. I haven’t wanted all the Spirit of Christmas books I’ve found, but I pick up the ones I like the style of crafts. Thrifting is always the thrill of the hunt. One of my favorite things to do.

Another fun video! It must take an enormous number of people to keep the shop so well stocked! I am looking forward to seeing your Restores. There is a gal in the southern US who calls her KZbin “Come Go With Me” who visits two Restores on almost a weekly basis. They are incredible stores! Ours are not at all like hers. Ours are mostly building supplies. Any way, I am anxious to take a trip through yours.

I didn't comment when I first saw this...I went to my mother inlaws house to verify before I shared. The piece you have that you didn't know what it was and you might cut it up for other crafting purposes, you found it on the free shelf, it is a Christmas card holder. The circles down the outside should have slits. Each slit holds a Christmas card. 😊

That Christmas sampler you showed from that Spirit of Christmas book was my first thing I every stitched on linen! I made it for my mom in the pastel colors she liked, and then I got it back when she passed away. It's always been one of my favorites! You found lots of treasures today!
