I always admire the friends my mother made, when she passed they took us on and put our needs, education and everything about us first before their own children! To this day i aspire to be that kind of friend to my friends ❤

I don't usually comment but since watching this episode 2 weeks ago, Claire has been on my mind/heart. Claire, having listened to your stories through each episode that's aired, I finally understood you. The coin dropped that you could've been raised jw. Only those who have experienced how strict the religion can be will ever be able to understand you. And I'm glad that I do. I totally understand you when you talk of the challenges of making & keeping friends cause the religion is so rigid with who you become friends with, which can be incapacitating as a child or young adult. I don't know how best to express to you that i understand you. I even understand the struggle it must've been to fight and get married to your husband. You're really strong for having handled the judgement that must've ensued. I'm happy for you for the progress you've made to find happiness. They may appear like small steps but they're a real big deal for those that know. Lots of love!❤

This is a great discussion and the topic is amazing, while at campus,l discovered that my three close aunties are Mom's besties. They bonded in primary and have grown up together and their children are cousins and my mom's god mother is grandmother's best friend who raised my mom when grandmom passed on. It's a big tribe that's closer than those that are blood related. I agree with prim about how our culture influences how we make friends, am from the west and something l still struggle with is physical contact with friends, l love warm embraces ( hugs and holding hands) which is mostly misunderstood and makes my baganda friends uncomfortable. Western people related differently.

It’s difficult to make wonderful, pure intentional friends. Some “friends”are entitled l, if you don’t do something for them then they give you this attitude and give you negative vibes. These are not friends, block them and move on. At some point someone I took to be a friend and she wanted me to lie and do crazy staff, when I asked for clarity she was pissed. She was a manipulator and entitled claiming to be saved and born again. Be careful with so called friends. It’s also okay to be in a safe environment without fake and ill intentional “friends”.
@remmynetar53827 ай бұрын
Friendship is funny and tricky. But one thing I'm learning is my friend friends are not mine. We can be cordial, that's it. Not mixing them creates a lasting friendship. Then. Friendship is a give and take base. If one is a giver, it is bound to fail.

@victorioussisters33077 ай бұрын
My grace comes to an end if I see no change in a person. God will extend that type of grace that never ends. There are ‘friends’ who are selfish, it’s always has to be about them, their needs should met, everything should favour them than you. They can’t be inconvenienced by you, yet they as for favours that inconvenience you. I reached a point years ago to let go of selfish ‘friends’ and relatives. If you can be inconvenienced by a friend the you not a friend at all. You always have excuses. If I have cut you off as a friend, you probably are the one who handed me the pair of scissors.
