I love the accountability that Village church has with leadership. That is amazing.

Thank you Pastor Matt for wisely calling it like it is. So tired of Pastors and churches politicizing the Sunday message to align with the “right” or certain candidates, etc. As Christians, we need to remember our focus is to be on Jesus and reaching the lost! That’s what we’re called to do, not save/fix this country. ... let’s hope some of our distracted brothers and sisters introspect and turn from this deception and repent of their trump idolatry 🙏🏽

Our days of Christian comfort, seat warming routines, complacent months of life are over. Perhaps there will be harmony between Christian's once we are shackled together for the sake of the gospel, maybe then we will get it. Lord be with us, Lord dont leave us the way we are.

I stopped paying attention to politics in about November because I realized just how much I was making the United States a higher king in my heart than Jesus.

Wow. Pragmatism over power. Forgive me/us Jesus!!! It’s the churches job not the state! It’s our responsibility to help the poor and hurting. Orphans and widows. Start with me Jesus!

Wow 8 minutes in and trying to figure out what event he is referring to. Maybe talking about what huge thing he’s addressing would have been a good idea.

I agree with much of what this man is saying but it’s hard for me to stomach hearing him blaspheme gods name.
@johnbeardsley27504 жыл бұрын
What blasphemy is he speaking? I'm curious, as I've just listened through the sermon and I was unable to find something I would define as blasphemy. I'm not saying your wrong, I'm simply saying that I was unable to find anything that one may have referred to as blasphemy. If you could refer to a point or concept that he made, that would be very helpful! Hope you're doing well!

When he says OMG he is using a acronym for using the lords name in vane.

He’s not blaspheming God, it also stands for “Oh my gosh”. Be careful when you point fingers at others, our current culture is to knit pick everything until there’s nothing left. This man is rooted clearly in biblical text.
@sant1na33 жыл бұрын
@@sprint2648 the acronym if referring to God as the G is only blasphemy if you aren’t speaking to God or addressing him and simply using it in vein. He could have been calling on God in that moment or addressing Him.

Mind your language, Pastor. "Freaking" is just a synonym for the F- Word albeit milder. What is usually referred to as a "minced expression". It's used by a person who is considering using the F-Word but opted for something he deems less offensive. Either way, christians should follow God's advice by making sure his language is wholesome. I've noticed Chandler introduce this word more and more in his latter sermons. Similarly, OMG is an abbreviation of "Oh my God". "Oh my gosh/goodness is synonymous with "My God" As long as other people interpret it as the F-Word or Oh my God, then christians and pastors in particular should erase this from their vocabulary. Even seeker-friendly hipster pastors are "surrounded by a great cloud if witnesses."
