Magnetos are actually used on Top Fuel dragsters, Funny Cars and small airplanes because the are reliable. Nice video!

Very interesting video, so cool to get a look into stuff like engines or noses and how you guys tracked down their history, and to see how much they're worth. Must be interesting, more stories like these would be very appreciated. Your car reviews are also great but it's not often that you get to watch content on this. What are your plans with the engine btw? Do you guys just sell it or are you going to restore it back to running condition? Also I kept being distracted by the background, is that a gallardo gt3 or something like that?

We sold the engine. And yes in the back is a lamborghini gallardo GT3, it won the Macau GP in 2010. Its like driving a rocketship.

His crazy 4 cyl in the rally cars made 1000+ hp with superchargers and turbos something like 7 bar boost. btw... Love the fact that you are obsessed with Ferrari's. My favorite "new" Ferrari is a 288 GTO - then a 57TR -pontoon fender, 250swb, then a few race cars P3, 1969 512, 333sp

@@FerrarisOnline I like the 56 625 LM's and the Early 50's F1 4 cyl cars too... I really like the early open wheel F1 cars. My exwifes father had a 1911 Pierce Arrow Racer which raced at Indy and has other pre teen -pre depression big cars, dual cowl phaetons etc. My parents have Woodie Wagons and other prewar Fords. I collect show and restore vintage Vettes C1-C3.

Both of the motors are in production cars, ferrari dinos run the v6, the 4 cylinder motor was used in the 500 mondial. Infact that 4 cylinder engine was used in their F1 cars and go them 2 world championships.
