In regards to the hardtop----back in the day, owners used to install a special hoist that was made for the hardtop removal and installation on such equipped cars----it was mounted to the ceiling of the garage directly over the car and in the right location to align with the car--worked well for a one person install !!! The 327ci engine is still around today, they changed the displacement to 5.3L, which is 327ci's!!! A friend of mine had a brand new one in 1962 (her father bought for her) great car and great person!!!!

Question: Is sth wrong with the display? When you drive around the block and shift into next gear, the big digit in the center of the display will jump from 4 to 6 and another time from 3 to 6. What does this mean? I guess this is how usually the actual gear gets displayed. Great vid(s) by the way!

Looks great in that color, which I had never seen on a 328 before. Besides red I mostly see black (which also looks great) and now I wonder if they ever came in grey? I've seen grey 308s and they look fantastic (one was even featured in a later episode of Magnum PI) and imagine a 328 would as well since they are so similar.

I bought a 1966 Lotus Elan in 1972 and loved it. I went around corners like paint and accelerated quickly. It was the S2 version (Stage 2) of 1, 2 and 3. Each had more horse power. I had to sell it when I went into the Peace Corp in 1973. A sad moment. I think the Mazda Miata copied the body style when they first came out.
