Any fabric with a large print can be turned into this quilt. The pointy arrows give the quilt just the right amount of pop and the big 12" blocks make it fun.

Three months ago, I returned from a trip in New Zealand. I brought home 6 fat quarters of the lovely birds of New Zealand. I happened to come across this Botanical Wreath pattern and I knew it would be perfect to feature my birds. I bought bright fabrics (none such in my stash) to tie my bird fabrics together. I am pleased with how my quilting turned out. I finished the top at a 4 day quilting retreat and the following weekend it was quilted and bound. Thank you, Laura.

Very nice quilt top, I really envy you some of your fabrics. This big print fabric is just one of them 😊. You should drink tea made of ginger and with loads of honey, that will lubricate your vocal cords and perk you up too. Some suggest whiskey or brandy to cure a cold, but that doesn't really help but it is much more 'fun' to be sick 😅. And your Scindapsus, thats the plant hanging behind you, are in need of more light in order to get more gold in its foliage. Greetings from Kenneth in Norway.

What a nice idea for larger prints! I think I will turn the square cornerstones into stars, however, by snowballing the ends of the sashing strips with 1x1" green squares. I will have to try it to make sure I have the correct measurement for the snowball squares.

I have not made a quilt yet, even after watching countless videos by very talented quilters. I keep wanting to make one, but just think its too hard for me to start learning (almost 63). Very pretty. How will you protect the white fabric from any bleeding from the dark red and green fabrics if you wash the quilt? I have found that almost all fabrics bleed, especially red.

you can always add "color catchers" in the wash. They really do help
