thank you for this! very helpful. I have one question, is there a simple way to add many groups say 20 but only let say 3 show up at a given time depending on the preset/snapshot?

Hey, great question. It is a little tricky. Essentially, you have to declare and place all 20 group knobs and then hide all of them, then go through and show just the ones you want. I do this with a while loop, because I can create a variable at the top that tells me how many groups to show (say 3), and then the loop will hide all groups then loop that variable (so 3 times through) to show that many groups. You could take what I've done in this script and scale it out for your needs. You would then change the variable for every preset instrument you create, making it show that number of groups you want. (Snapshots are great if you are encoding the library with NI for sale or only planning on ever using it for yourself, but if you want to share that library the snapshots won't be shared automatically). Hope this helps.

Hey, I'd think of ui_panel as basically like a group for your controls. You can add other ui elements, like knobs, sliders and labels, to a parent ui_panel. Then you can do things like hide and show the panel, which will hide and show all the controls at once. This is helpful when you have multiple pages, so you want to hide one set of controls and show another. Rather than hiding individual ones, it is faster to hide the panel they belong to. Hope this helps.
