Nice genset. They can runs several thousand hours easily. I like to run ethanol free gas in my equipment as the 10% ethanol pump gas causes so many carb problems.. Nice job.

Get an ultrasonic to do carbs, saves a ton of time cleaning em ,Might freeze up where you are though. Love the vids Keep em coming.

always check the oil before starting unless you want another for sale for "parts only"

I've got 3 Hondas in my garage that I've collected over the years that were Facebook marketplace finds. Total, I paid maybe $150 for all three combined. I've probably put $100 in parts. They are tanks and run great! Two were carb issues and one was a valve issue. Simple fixes.

@@doublagesdelanaudiere3700 Not at the time of this model. Japan ruled the small engine world. Now, everyone copies them so everyone makes a decent engine. The Chinese "Honda" knock-offs are pretty good runners.

I had a customer today ask if I know anyone who would take away a generator. It’s been sitting in her basement for about 7 years. I asked how much she wanted for it. Nothing, she was ready to pay someone to take it. It’s a brick for sure. I get it home think I’ll look it over then put it away to deal with some other day. ( I have piles of stuff I’ll get to some day) The oil looked brand new. The gas looked fine. I just wanted to see if I had spark. The dam think kicked over second pull.

I had one for free if I wanted it like that one..... generator part was smoked. Was told they started/shutdown the generator with a full load applied... was told thats what cooked it :( Get an old oil furnace, that will heat that shop up quick !

Man that Buick is a rag, damn. Should fix the silver one IMO. That aside, get yourself a battery charger with high boost and you can jump cars high class style.

it's a 16 amp @120 volt generator (2000 watt running/2800 starting) 8 amps @ 240, no idea what you could run with that? used I see them regularly on CL around here for $300 I guess because it's a honda I wouldn't pay much more than you did , get a lot more generator for your money with one of the many other japanese/chinese gens out there. 16 amps doens't run much. it was definately priced right when you got it.
