I just hope they do not meddle like Angelos had done. Most likely they will not, BUT I thought Pete was our savior when he rescued the team from Bankruptcy Court in NYC in 1994. Damn shame he did not leave it alone, losing Davey killed that late 1990's team....

In their first year of ownership, the city of Baltimore hosts their first World Series parade in 41 years. After a tight race all season, the Orioles edge out New York for the AL East Title, and #1 seed overall of the postseason, as the Astros do the same in the AL West claiming the #4 seed for October. After a dominant wildcard series win, the Yankees get handled efficiently and effectively by Cleveland as they head to their first League Championship series under rookie manager Stephen Vogt, one year removed from a losing season. The Orioles make a loud statement behind great pitching, consistent hitting, and they sweep the Houston Astros on their way to their first LCS game since being swept in 2014 by the Kansas City Royals. Everyone thought it would be Cleveland in 7, but the Orioles took home the AL Pennant in 6 behind 2 dominant starts from Corbin Burnes and Zach Efflin. The Orioles run into a red hot San Diego Padres team with a star studded cast, and an overwhelmingly favored bullpen, in a series many believed would be a bullpen decided series. They had no idea how right, and how wrong, they would be in the World Series at the Harbors, or Harbor World Series, as the Orioles take the title home in 6 games by scoring late, scoring often, and doing it to each of San Diego’s big 4 bullpen arms, outscoring the Padres 39-12, capped off with a 10-0 Game 6 win behind 7 shutout frames from Zach Efflin and, World Series MVP Anthony Santander’s 3 home runs & 6 RBIs, bringing his totals to 6 HRs and 13 RBIs in the 2024 Fall Classic, beating out ALCS MVP Gunnar Henderson’s 4 HRs, 9 RBIs &(World Series record)16 runs scored in his first World Series. The Commissioner’s Trophy returns to Baltimore, Charm City, and they’re as poised as anyone has ever been to repeat their success in 2025 following big contracts to Corbin Burnes and Anthony Santander while Kyle Bradish, Tyler Wells and Felix Bautista return to the Orioles pitching staff along with the entirety of the remaining 2024 roster(besides minimal non-factor players)and the promise of players like Jackson Holliday, Coby Mayo and Heston Kjerstad become everyday players, and Samuel Basallo on the cusp of making his MLB Debut. It’s safe to say, the measuring stick of professional baseball is the Baltimore Orioles, as the rest of baseball just plays for second place, or “first loser”, with the birth of baseball’s next great dynasty, the Baltimore Orioles. The Magic is back Birdland!

Why would thr Astros have the #4 seed if they win their division? This isn't the NFL. There's only 3 divisions.

I am an O's fan since 1969 and I wish I had your confidence in this team. Realistically it could happen but Hyde has to get this team playing much better. Our bullpen sucks right now and hitting is inconsistent. If we get to the playoffs Burnes, Eflin and Rodriguez must be able to go deep in games cause our bullpen is really shaky. Also our bats has to hit more than just homeruns. Need 2 or 3 guys to get really consistent in the playoffs and then the WS may be possible. That is a lot to ask for but we can hope that our O's get hot
